Minister,

The Prime Minister has authorized me to ask if you would like to join the Kingdom of Norway in purchasing replenishment vessels. Seeing as there are no contemporary replenishment vessels/oilers native to Scandinavia, I was wondering if your government would like to get together with our government and purchase a number of these ships? We are considering making an open request to purchase these ships, and perhaps if we are doing it together we could get a better deal on them. Please let me know if you would find this acceptable, and if so how many Sweden would be interested in purchasing.

Dear Kristoffer Solberg,

It's always great to hear from the Kingdom of Norway and interestingly you have contacted me at the right time as we're in the process of overhauling all military branches. At present we're looking into the opportunity to deploy internationally, at the moment our navy is purely coastal-focused and we are very limited in the distance we can travel without the support of foreign states.

Specification dependant we're looking at the opportunity to purchase at least three multi-capability replenishment vessels, we need the capability to replenish water, food and fuels - however with the right vessel we could look at investing significantly more in order to future-proof the Swedish Royal Navy. Potentially with a join Norway-Sweden purchase we could have some significant impact on the negotiating table.
