1. SITUATION.
a. Area of Interest:
SEDENA Training Center for Jungle Warfare located near Paraje Agua Azul, approximately 50km from the Guatemalan Border.
b. Area of Operations:
(1) Terrain: Jungle, Mountains, and Swamps
(2) Weather: Monday: Sunny, Tuesday-Thursday: Heavy Rain, Friday: Partly Cloudy

c. Enemy Forces:
(1) Composition, Equipment, and Strength: Army: 1st Special Forces Battalion, Fully Equipped with IOTV Gen 2 body armor, Advanced Combat Helmet, x2 Canteens, E-Tool, Rucksack, x3 Combat Uniforms, full combat load of blank rounds, blank firing adaptor, Laser training vest, Weapon depends on individual role, equipped with laser training sight: AK-47, RPK Machine Gun, RPGs, M1911, (1,000 Personnel).

Vehicles: x12 Véhicule Blindé Léger VBLs, x20 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), x8 M35 series 2½-ton 6×6 cargo truck, x8 DN-IV Caballo, x2 K1 Main Battle Tanks, x4 M30 Mortar.

(1) Higher HQ Mission and Intent: Occupy region and restore order to the local government.
(2) Mission of Adjacent Units: 1st Infantry Battalion is to secure key asset targets and establish order in the region. 1st Headquarters Battalion is to support the 1st Infantry Battalion in their efforts by providing medical aid, transportation, mechanical support, and more.

(1) Civilians are to be treated with the upmost respect and
curtesy, engaging on civilians will not be tolerated unless threatened first with deadly force.

2. MISSION.
From 15 October 2001 to 19 October 2001, at no later than 0300 hours, elements of the 1st Infantry Brigade are to infiltrate the jungle environment and secure key assets and restore order to the local government.
