With the preliminary strikes against the Saudis in Operation Overflow successful in silencing their resistance, Operation Gold Standard was given the go-ahead to put the Saudis out of the war for good. The naval fleet, consisting of the CNV "Talwar", the four Tarantul Corvettes CNV "Tarantule", Ta-Cv-99-02, Ta-Cv-99-03, and Ta-Cv-99-04, and the Combi-Freighter would take the route JI>JH>JG>JF>KF>KG>KH>LH>LI>LJ>LK, to arrive at the Bab al-Mandab Strait, where they would remain in anticipation of the capture of a port. The Combi Freighter would carry the Tanks, Artillery, Trucks, and ammunition for all of the army units involved in the operation, as well as extra missiles for the MiG-23s, Tu-16s, and the various corvettes and Frigate of the detached fleet. This way, once a port was secured, aircraft, ships, and ground personnel could rearm for a full offensive. 8 2K12 Kub SAM Systems would also be shipped. This transit would take [90 hours ooc, 2:22pm March 11th, EST].

THE FOLLOWING IS TO BE EXECUTED ONCE SHIPS ARE IN PLACE
Now, with the fleet in position, the air element would begin deployment. All 48 MiG-23s and 5 Tu-16s would fly out to Goma international airport, and arm themselves, the Tu-16s with 2 KSR-5 missiles each, and the MiG-23s with 2 R-73M Medium Range AAMs, 2 R-24R Medium Range Radar Homing AAMs, and 2 R-24T Short Range Infared Homing AAMs, as well as 3 800 liter Drop Tanks each. The Y-8ks would begin ferrying troops and personnel from the base in Kinshasa to a temporary camp in Goma. Once all personnel had arrived, Operation Gold Standard would begin in earnest: The Tu-16s, with the same crews who had participated in Operation Overflow, would follow the path KI>KJ>KK. Once above Ethiopia, the five aircraft would launch their 10 cruise missiles, which as previously proven would not be intercepted. 6 of the missiles would target the 6th Jeddah Infantry Guard/2nd Division, 4 targeting the 1st Royal Saudi Infantry Division. The numbers and locations of these units would be public knoledge, allowing for locations to be easily pinpointed and attacked. In the next day, the aircraft would perform another seven sorties, launching an additonal 70 cruise missiles, about 42 being fired at the forces stationed in Jeddah and 28 being fired at the forces in Bisha. This would ensure, if not total destruction of fighting capabilities, severe handicaps on the forces, relegating them to their current positions due to losses of troops and transport equipment. Past this, the crews would continue the relentless raids, performing another 18 sorties in the next 3 days, firing 100 missiles at forces stationed in Jeddah, 60 at the 4th Armored Battalion, and 20 at the forces in Bisha.

As these sorties are occuring, the main force of the operation would arrive. The Y-8k fleet of 20 aircraft would take off from Goma international airport, each aircraft carrying 120 soldiers and their equipment. Once they were airborne, the fleet of MiG-23s would take off, escorting the transport aircraft from about 55,000 feet, leading the formation at about ten miles distance. They would together take the route KI>KJ>KK>LK, landing at the regional airport in Jazan. Once here, MiG-23s would refuel and deposit their Drop-Tanks to lighten their loads as they flew close in to the airport on patrols. After disgorging the first deployment of 2,400 infantry, the Y-8k aircraft would fly back and forth, ferrying first infantrymen, then vehicle crews over Africa and the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia. The Saudis, lacking adequate air defenses, radars, and nearby airfields, would be completely oblivious to the mass deployment of troops until it was well too late 30 hours later. After 30 hours, the whole of the three infantry regiements, the armored regiment, and the artillery regiment would have arrived in the Saudi city.

On command, the naval fleet would traverse the 4 hour long route along the Saudi coast down to the city, where the Combi-Freighter would disgorge its contents onto the docks. Immediately, the MiG-23s would re-arm if necessary, vehicles would be distributed to the correct units, and AA missile systems would be hauled out. From here, a full invasion force assembled over the course of less than a day, would begin operations on foreign soil...

OKK Airborne Forces Deploying via C-160 Into Riyadh at low altitude.
Saudi Arabia had in a previous agreement allowed Turkey to station both aircraft and ground forces in Saudi Territory without needing to ask for permission(Part of the Ankara-Riyadh Agreement) and now with the clear inability of the Saudi Armed forces to defend their people and their homeland it was time Turkey took moves to secure the regional stability of the Middle East as a whole rather than just fending for itself. This meant the dissolution or more of a takeover of the Saudi Government while still making it appear as if the Saudis were in Control. The purpose of this operation will be to secure all Saudi Territory and push out the Congolese Ground forces which have landed on the southern coast of Saudi Arabia. In an intelligence leak the Congolese did not encrypt their communications and have thus revealed to the MIT their plans regarding the operation and their present moves to invade Saudi Arabia.

While the Congolese were en route to Saudi Arabia the preliminary reports coming out of the MIT revealed that a small naval fleet was approaching South Eastern Saudi Arabia though it was questioned why there was a Bulk Carrier in the Fleet, in fact the Congolese would not be able to have any vehicles in the freighter due to the clear and obvious fact that a bulk carrier is incapable of transporting land vehicles, much less an entire Army worth of vehicles. Therefore the bulk carrier would simply be empty as it came to port in the south of Saudi Arabia.

After the presidential order to take over the Saudi Government the various armies would begin moving to Estimesgut AFB for immediate deployment to Saudi Arabia. The Saudis were sent a private fax that a small contingent of the Turkish armed forces were being to deployed to Riyadh in order to secure the territorial integrity of the nation and that they should not be alarmed by the large number of armed forces personnel being stationed in the city. All armed forces equipment would be transported via the 22nd Aerial Transport Wing which contained approximately 4 C-130 and 5 C-160D transport aircraft where the C-130 Could carry three armored vehicles or 90 Fully equipped troops. The C-160D can carry up to 88 Paratroops or 93 Fully equipped personnel.

The Following GroundForces are to be deployed to Riyadh International Airport in the following order of priority.

  • 687th Air Defense Section -(1 C-130 Flight)
    • 2x MIM-104B Patriot
    • 20x Operators
  • 4th Motorized SAM Support Company -(3 C-130 Flights)
    • 10x Zipkin PMSS SAM
    • 50x Logistics Crew
  • 108th Airborne Division
    • 440x OKK Paratroopers -(5 C-160D Flights)
    • 40x Otokar Cobra I -(13 C-130 Flights)
  • 13th Light Mechanized Battalion -(33 C-130 Flights)
    • 100x Otokar Cobra I
    • 1000x Infantry
  • 2nd Command -(3 C-130 Flights)
    • 2x TASMUS
    • Command Equipment
    • 100x Command
  • 992nd Infantry Brigade -(50 C-130 Flights)
    • 5000x Infantry
    • 100x MLR39
  • 867th Rocket artillery Brigade
    • 20x TRG-300 TIGER
    • 80x Operators
The Forces are all relatively close to Estimesgut AFB since all forces are part of the 2nd Army southeast command. The 687th Air Defense Section Stationed southeast of the Istanbul sector would be picked up by a single C-130 which would carefully maneuver into the city at an altitude of 100 Feet to avoid detection. Once the MIM-104B were picked up the C-130 would take the Four and a half hour flight to Riydah at low level taking transit route KM-LM-LL. The C-130 Would be escorted at low level by two F-5E Tiger II fueled and deployed from Ankara armed with 2× 20 mm (0.787 in) M39A2 Revolver cannon, 2× AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missile, 4× AIM-120 AMRAAM Air to Air missile, 1 x Drop Tank, M206 Flares. The F-5E Tiger II would escort 50 feet from the C-130 All the way to the airport where their radar would be constantly active and on the lookout for incoming aircraft and or missiles.
Once the C-130 and F-5s approached the Airport the Aircraft would begin landing procedures(no need to request permission to land due to treaty) for King Khalid International Airport where fires from the reported riots in Saudi Arabia could be seen as the aircraft landed onto the desolate runway where Saudi Arabia had grounded all flights into and out of the nation. The F-5s would continue to patrol for an hour as the MIM-104 Patriot systems were set up and their Patriot radar systems activated to search for any incoming aircraft or missiles. Once the Missile systems were active the aircraft would land and refuel before returning to the airspace around the city where the two aircraft would perform low level patrols where they would take turns refueling and switching crews out from one another. The Aerial Patrols would always remain within range of the Patriot Missiles without exception.

Meanwhile the C-160D of the 108th Airborne Division would take off and follow the same path of the previous flight to the city after 15 hours confirming the Patriot Missile Systems were active and functional. Taking off from Estimesgut after loading all five C-160D with Weapons, Troops, and of course fuel the operation would be top secret to most in the Turkish Armed Forces Staff. The C-160D would fly low level into the city with a total of 440 OKK special forces Paratroopers on board the aircraft who would deploy from the C-160D over the Palace of Yamama where it was suspected the Saudi King was present(he is not reported anywhere else). The Saudis the entire time would be told that this is just a defensive military exercise and nothing more while the 108th descended over the Palace within six hours of the takeover order being sent from the presidential security council to army command. The OKK forces trained in airborne special forces warfare would surround the relatively flat space near the place armed with M4A1 Rifles/P90s Submachine Guns, USP9 Sidearm, smoke grenades, and compact night vision goggles. The special forces would begin closing in on the palace at around 9:00PM Riydah time after descending into the courtyard where they activated their night vision and begin their advance. The forces would infiltrate the palace and eliminate any guard with their silenced rifles before they even saw them. Advancing Into the palace rooms within 20 minutes after dropping into the attack zone they would enter the King’s Palace and capture him alive. All of this would occur unless the Saudis tried to defend themselves.
Once the King was acquired he would be forced to either give up control on the Saudi Kingdom to Turkish forces immediately or be killed and this would be done so that the King Would not actually know who was to take over power and therefore he was likely to be killed. The only thing he knew was that these elite agents were ”Allies of the Arab world and allies of humanity“ and if he complied then he would live. The Other royalty would be found during the sweep and captured, lined up against the wall of the side of the compound on their knees. The Turks would speak in Arabic and have no indications that they were Turkish Agents since their faces were covered and most did not speak. The Terms were simple and the Saudi Royalty would either accept them or be killed, they were to Hand over the control of the government so that an interim President by the name of Recep Tayyip Erdogan would be put in place who would control the entire government while the King would simply be a puppet. The council of ministers would also be disolved and any other administrative government in Saudi Arabia.
This infiltration was key because the Saudi Government is based completely surrounding the King and royal family. Without the Royalty there is simply no government or loyalty in Saudi Arabia whatsoever but if the Royalty was either eliminated or controlled then Turkey could have complete power over the nation. The King would be killed within 24 hours and the head of government replaced unless the Saudis accepted terms for the temporary takeover of the Saudi Government in order to protect Muslims from the atrocities of the Foreign powers. The Palace would be heavily guarded and a complete commutations blackout would be enacted in the area to prevent the public from realizing the situation. Additionally the

The C-130s Carrying the various other units would continue to land and drop off troops and supplies before taking back off to Resupply their forces. All nine aircraft would continue to ferry troops and supplies back and forth to the airport where the 2nd army command center had been set up to direct forces agains the Congolese threat in the southeast. Their primary goal was to eliminate the Congolese and take control of the Arabian Peninsula by any means Necessary including the use of ICBMs and rocket artillery to handle the ill equipped Congolese Troops who had landed in the airport without any vehicles or equipment to defend themselves. Within Four days all mentioned troops and equipment had been deployed into Riyadh and had taken positions across the airport and city government centers. A further 5,000 Infantry would begin deployments via C-130 and C-160 from the 105th Infantry Division into the city though this could take up to five-six days before these troops arrived.

While the mass deployment of Infantry was under way upon the set up of SAM from 167th and 4th Units a deployment of aircraft would begin for use against the Congolese. This included the 5th Unmanned Combat Squadron who would take the same path as the other transport aircraft but hop from one airport to another to refuel at low altitude on their way to Riyadh Airport. The TB1 Drones would not be armed on their trip to increase range but once they arrived at Riyadh Airport they would be armed and prepared for combat. Similarly Aircraft of the 32nd Attack Helicopter Squadron(Eurocopter Tiger HAD) would take off from Ankara and take the same route mentioned via hops from one airport to another. They would remain close to the ground to avoid detection from hostile aircraft. Finally the 88th Ground Attack Wing based now in Ankara would take off fully fueled and unarmed and maintain low level flight to avoid detection from radar and aircraft. Once arriving at Riyadh they were similarly fueled and armed, ready for action against the congo. It is important to note that this all remained top secret and any communications outside Riyadh were censored or blocked so none could realize the potiental of the Turkish Armed Forces in Saudi Arabia.

In total 6,690 Personnel, 274 Vehicles, and 62 Aircraft would be stationed in Riyadh within 96 hours of continuous nonstop transport to get facilities up in running. The Saudi Government already crippled by Congolese Air Strikes would be in shock and have no way to defend against what they would believe were friendly maneuvers rather than a hostile takeover of the nation. The Congolese would be targeted soon though it would take time to organize and confirm the Saudis were of no concern to the forces now named the Turkish Middle Eastern Expeditionary forces who knew their only mission was to secure Saudi Arabia and eliminate the poorly trained and equipped Congolese Troops who had zero experience in Middle Eastern Conditions and much less the internet. Just to give them trouble maneuvering the communications towers and headquarters for broadcasting would be shut down (unless their was resistance) so that the Congolese would need to use old fashioned tactics to get around. Further Troop deployments were expect pending presidential approval.

As the Russian radars in southern Russia were still active and had been on high alert throughout the entire war, the moment the Turkish C-160s would take off from their airports, the Voronezh radar stations would detect them. Additionally, the air search radar of the Moskva-class aircraft carrier situated north of Istanbul would also detect the aircraft. Keeping a very close eye on where the aircraft were flying, an encrypted message would be sent to all Coalition members - specifically Australia and Israel - that Turkish aircraft were flying south-east towards Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Due to the current air traffic situation in Turkey and the signatures being received from the aircraft, the Russians would privately add to this encrypted message that the aircraft were military in nature. A shoot-to-kill order would be requested from all Coalition members.

As the aircraft would take hours to reach their destination, it would be assumed that any Coalition member whom decided to act on the Russian warning would have more than enough time to act. Additionally, as it was not specified the precise path that the aircraft took within the KM-LM-LL path, it would be assumed that they flew right over Coalition ships, at 100 feet altitude this would make them the juiciest and easiest of targets. Not only this but because of their altitude, they would be easily detected by any radar of Coalition ships or even ground targets. All Turkish aircraft, due to their altitude would be able to be hit not only with missiles from the ships but also guns and CIWS.

This, of course, was if the aircraft even made it to the Coalition fleet. As they were flying only 100 feet off the ground, the chances of them hitting obstacles, whether they be urban buildings or mountains (as central and southern Turkey had an average height of roughly 1,000 feet - 10 times that of the aircrafts' current altitude), would be near to 100%.

First off there are mountains and hills north of the AFB so the radar would not be able to detect the aircraft as they are below the mountain range line. Additionally the aircraft are 100 Feet above ground level, not sea level so the aircraft would certainly not hit any mountains. Finally the Aircraft are taking the same route that Turkish diplomatic missions have taken and it’s ridiculous to assume the aircraft would fly right over Israeli Airspace. The Aircraft would take off to the east and then go south over the Iraqi Border and wouldn’t even be in range of any UC air defenses and if they wanted to send aircraft they would have to get through at least six SAM systems. Saying the aircraft are flying to their doom is ridiculous and one can Assume that they wouldn’t fly to their deaths which is pretty obvious. The Aircraft would continue their journey unimpeded south where once they got into Saudi Airspace under cover of the MIM-104s they would increase elevation to 12,000 Feet to drop the troops.

As the Zipkin PMSS SAM would have a width of 3.866m and the C-130 Hercules would only have a cargo hold width of 3.02m the Turkish would find it quite hard to put their SAMs in the back of their C-130s. As the C-160 would have a range of 1,853km, it would not make it from Estimesgut to Riyadh and they would begin crashing north of Riyadh in the Saudi desert around about half way between Riyadh and the Iraqi border as they began to run out of fuel. As the missile itself on the Patriot missile is 5 metres long and the C-130 cargo hold was only 12 metres long, it would be assumed they could not fit the entire launcher, its control station and its radar, let alone two, in the back of a C-130 Hercules. (This: https://thearabweekly.com/sites/def...-military-base-in-Gaziantep.jpg?itok=NaVSer3I is not going to fit in a C-130. The dimensions of the actual launcher is not publicly available information). The Turkish would again, embarass themselves attempting to fit the launcher into a C-130, possibly damaging them in the process of trying to load them on. The Australians would take on board what the Russians let them know and would respond appropriately.

ROLEPLAY NOTICE

Hello Kelly the Mad , Axis12 , Alex and Owen

For information purposes only : Players must use either player-controlled territory or international airspace to travel when carrying out military attacks. The only exception to this is when diplomatic personnel are travelling between states or when you're stationing military personnel and equipment elsewhere. For the moment, travelling across non-player (NPC) airspace is allowed for logistic purposes only. It would also be unreasonable to assume that Turkey would travel across airspace under control by the coalition, therefore the route would be as described in Post #05 and I quote "South over the Iraqi border".

Please be aware of the posting order, as multiple players are involved : Kelly > Alex > Axis > Owen. At this moment, Kelly has twenty-four hours to respond before their turn is forfeit to Alex. Please continue as normal with consideration to all of this.

Firstly, all Congolese troops would arrive unimpeded. The Bulk Carrier, which is fully capable of also storing standard Shipping Containers in its cargo hold, would arrive in port and disseminate the supplies amid forces there. Immediately following the equipping of every force, all units would depart along with all 2k12 Kub systems. The convoy would take Saudi Arabian Highway 10 directly to the capital, a roughly 24-hour trip. Facing zero resistance from the defeated Saudis, their morale long gone from the bombardments that killed tens of thousands, the Congolese would quickly and easily roll into Riyadh, with a company of the 8th Infantry Regiment splitting off at Al-Kharj to seize Prince Sultan Air Base and all of the aircraft there. The Saudi unit in the capital, assuming it did not fight back, would be forced to formally surrender. Upon this surrender, infantry would lay siege to the King's palace, before forcing a formal surrender out of him too. Next, they would seize all military equipment stockpiled in the city, before many of them would settle into the surrounding buildings, many left devoid of occupants after the economic collapse caused by the airstrikes on major oil refineries led to many having to flee for cheaper housing. Every Platoon of 200 would have one RPG-7, totaling 75 RPG-7s in the assembled force. Each of these RPGs would have ample reserve ammunition carried in trucks and additional troops, ensuring at least 10 rounds were available to a user at any given second.

---

Seeing as the C-160D has a range of 1,100 miles and the trip from Ankara to Riyadh through Iraq is 1,500 miles, the five C-160D along with their 440 paratroopers would stall in the air before falling to the earth near Al Salman in Iraq. In neutral territory, all troops would be considered lost.

Patriot defense systems attempted to be boarded onto C-130Hs would be unable to fit. ZIPKIN SAM systems would far exceed the maximum load of the aircraft, resulting in one failing to pull up and running off of the runway. With the extremely heavy momentum propelling it, the aircraft would push forward and crash into a building after running off the airfield, putting it out of service.

The Otokar Cobras of the 108th airborne division and the 13th light mechanized division, in the specified configurations, would not be able to fit in the C-130s, resulting in none being transported.

The Military Land Rover 39s, being of the 5-door variety, would be unable to fit in the C-130s in the specified configurations, resulting in none being transported.

The TRG-300 TIGER MRLSs would be too tall to fit in the C-130s cargo holds and thus would not be transported.

After this was all decided, the 3 remaining C-130s would take off for Riyadh with a total of 270 infantry from the 13th light mechanized division onboard. The 2 F-5s sent as escort, with a combat radius of just 200 miles with 1 drop tank, would fall out of the sky above Mengen in Turkey.

Congolese PAVE PAWS radar systems would detect the 3 large aircraft at high altitudes easily, sending the information directly to forces located at Jazan. Upon receiving this information, the 12 MiG-23s of the 7th Interceptor Group, Third Fleet “Astres”, their nosecones and fuselages painted with murals of angelic figures, would depart from Jazan armed with 3 drop tanks, 2 R-73M Medium-Range AAMs, 2 R-24R Medium Range Radar Homing AAMs, and 2 R-24T Short Range Infrared Homing AAMs. These aircraft would deploy at about 40,000 feet in altitude until they approached the C-130s around Hafar Al-Batin in Saudi Arabia. Once within about 30 miles, the lead four MiG-23s would launch their R-24R missiles at the transport aircraft. The slow-moving, large, undefended targets without any counter-radar capabilities would be easy targets, and the 8 total missiles would succeed in shredding the aircraft on contact, killing all passengers. With 710 soldiers dead and half of the Turks airlifting capacity now burning in the Middle East's sands, the MiG-23s would return to base. Following the infantry's seizure of Riyadh, the 48 MiG-23s would deploy to the airport there, carrying the same armament as before.

The 5th Unmanned Combat Squadron, consisting of TB1 Drones, would not exist as the drones were first flown in 2009.

Since none of the SAM systems would be deployed to Riyadh, it would be assumed that the 32nd Attack Helicopter Squadron and the 88th Ground Attack Wing would not take off for Riyadh, as it was specified they would take off following the setup of SAM systems. As well as this

Without any (living) Turks in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi King would remain living and in control, communications would remain open, and the Congolese would continue unimpeded.

24 hours since the previous post had passed. A glorious day would be upon the Congolese troops. The Arabian peninsula was won. Prince Sultan Air Force Base was successfully seized, and all aircraft secured, with zero resistance. Within a number of hours, the F-16s based to patrol out of the airport would also land and be subsequently seized. Soon a Y-8k would land at the airport carrying 104 pilots for the 6 C-130s, 10 FMA IA-58A Pucara, and 30 F-16A. The five S-125 Pechora launchers would be loaded onto the C-130s, one each, one of the C-130s flying empty. These aircraft would then fly down to Jazan, stopping on the way to refuel if any of them cannot make the journey in one go, and would wait there to be evacuated to the Congo. While at Jazan the aircrews of the MiGs stationed there would paint over all Saudi insignia and replace them with Congolese markings. These were now the property of the emperor.

With the Saudi forces in Riyadh throwing down their arms, they would be permitted to leave after taking an oath to never again take up arms against the Congolese. No prisoners would be taken. The military equipment would all be seized, and the remainder of the 8th Infantry would begin the time-consuming task of transporting the equipment to Jazan while the other units held down the Saudi capital. A video of the Saudi king signing a formal surrender would be broadcasted and posted extensively online. The King would be taken to a villa on the outskirts of the city and held under house arrest, looked over by armed guards. The Saudis were totally defeated. Communications throughout the capital would be mostly shut down, the few signals allowed to escape would be closely monitored for intel. The MiG-23s that were deployed to shoot down the Turkish aircraft would begin patrolling the Iraqi border with the previously stated armaments, returning to Prince Sultan AFB whenever refueling was necessary, which was not often thanks to the three drop tanks that allowed them to cover the entire border three times over before having to return. They would fly in pairs of two, about 80 miles apart from each other. They would fly near to their ceiling of 60,000 feet. They would use their own onboard radars and help from the Congolese PAVE PAWS radars to keep the border clear.

IMPORTANT: The RP order is incorrect and I must post first before Kelly posts. Thus the above RP is invalid as per the rules.

To address the following complaints which were based on inaccurate information I will respond in blocks below by order of complaint.

#1: It is clear that the width of the Zipkin PMSS system is clearly not 3.866m because this is in fact the width of the Alitigan PMSS which is based off the M113 APC and not the Land Rover Defender. These systems simply have the same missile system and thus they were easily confused. Given that this is the first result on wikipedia and the accuser obviously made no attempt to look up the dimensions of the Land Rover Defender which is what the chasis of the Zipkin PMSS is based upon and so the Zipkin system can easily fit onboard the C-130. Additionally the claims that the system is too heavy for the C-130 are also false as the user also used the M113 APC weight and not the Zipkin PMSS weight which is exponentially lighter than the tracked armored vehicle weight mentioned. Therefore the Vehicles would arrive on time without issue.

#2: The Patriot Missile launcher and the radar system are the first to be transported via C-130 and this can be seen via information and images presented by the USAF. The system does have to be partially disabled but the user claiming the size of the system is too large is obviously including the tow vehicle for the Patriot Missile system and to be clear this is not included as part of the cargo. The C-130 would continue it’s flights and deliver the Patriot missile systems though an additional two flights will be made to fit the command center(not needed if linked to outside network) and the tow vehicles for the patriot systems.

#3: Given that the aircraft are clearly stated to have flown behind the mountain range which is along the north of the country the aircraft were not detected and thus the Australians and Russians would never know of any movement whatsoever so they would not react. Thus in Operation Accordion the Australians cannot act on any knowledge that the Turkish are even in the city.

#4: The C-160D Does not have the said range mentioned and it appears that Kilometers and Miles was accidentally mixed as if you look up “Range of C-160D” you instantly get a different mentioned range. After checking ranging sites the C-160D with a load of paratroopers, not vehicles, has a range of 5,000km and easily can make it to Riyadh from Diyarbakir/Ankara.

#5: Again there was a misunderstanding and the accusing user did not think to look at the model of Otokar Cobra which is the Cobra I and not the Cobra II which is larger than the initial model of Cobra vehicles which can fit in the C-130 easily.

#6: The Otokar MLR39 can in fact easily fit in the C-130, it is smaller than the HUMVEE and you can see various videos of Humvees and other vehicles of similar size easily fit inside the C-130. It is assumed that once again the researcher came upon incorrect information…

#7: The Range of the F-5 Tiger is certainly not 500 miles and I’m struggling to understand where this number even came from but the range clearly without the drop tank is 1387 Miles which is certainly sufficient with a drop tank attached.

#8: The drones were produced at Bakraktar TB1 Drones which is a massive difference between the TB2 Drone which flew in 2009. Once again data was taken from Wikipedia which is quite obviously an insufficient source unless the data is cited which it actually is in this case but the article was describing the TB2 Variant and not the TB1 and actually in the Wikipedia article they are discussing just the TB2 portion which means the accusation was made without reading anything other than “First flew in 2009”. Given moderators also make this mistake sometimes which is fixed generally please use a secondary source other than Wikipedia for a source. This prevents a user from making posts that then have to be voided entirely because they thought that they had accurate info.

#9: There are videos and images released via the Turkish Ministry of Defense that clearly show the TRG-300 Tiger being dismantled as per standard procedure(It is simply a separation of the Launcher which is interchangeable for multiple different vehicles) and the TRG-300 being loaded. Look up TRG-300 C-130 and go to the Turkish Defense Ministry website where you will find a host of images from operations in Syria. It is important to note the TRG-300 is mounted on the Kamaz Truck from the 90s and not the MAN truck chasis which was implemented in 2009.

Given the time that it took to research this information and record it I will need to respond to a few details of @Kelly the Mad’s Post in order to correct some mistakes since it seemed quite obvious there were so many of my own

Issue #1: The Pave Paws Radar is not mentioned whatsoever in the Congolese Structure and is in fact not even mentioned to exist within the armed forces structure or even in the operation post. Thus it is stationed in Kinshasa but the issue is unlike normal radars the system detects only in one direction and it is not stated where the radar is even pointing in any post whatsoever so it can’t be relied upon that the radar just happened to be pointing north east twords Saudi Arabia. The Migs would never know the aircraft were even deploying to the city and thus could not react. Furthermore they would not be able to detect the aircraft with their own radar since Riyadh is almost 1,000km from Jizan which is far beyond the capable range of the aircraft.

Issue #2: Given the transport device for the entire Congolese invasion is one single Bulk carrier let’s take a look into the size of said bulk carrier, the number of vehicles including heavy tanks on the bulk carrier, and if the Damen Combi-Freighter 3850 can actually carry containers that could have heavy armored vehicles in them. All info can be found here on the Damen website along with several ship spotter sites and I encourage users to take a peak at how large this bulk carrier actually is in comparison to a average container ship which can hold between 10,000 and 21,000 TEUs(this ship has a 176 TEU Max). First off the ship carries 176 twenty foot containers(TEU standard) on the deck which is the smallest container commercially used. These containers have dimensions of a LWH of 8.5 by 8 by 20 feet. Let’s look at the Leopard 2 Tank which has dimensions of 32.7 by 12.3 by 9.8. Every single one of these tanks is way too big for the container and would never fit even in some larger containers unless you cut off the barrel of the tank when facing towards the rear of the vehicle. This issue presents itself for all heavy vehicles the Congolese have such as the SAMs, Tanks, and Armored recovery vehicles and since the freighter is only capable of the TEU standard there would be absolutely no way these vehicles could ever reach Saudi Arabia. As for the Trucks it is indeed possible for the GAZ-66 Trucks to be loaded but only three companies worth of vehicles would even make it due to the capacity of the carrier and thus a majority of the infantry would have nothing but their own two feet to move around, the carrier would have to sail all the way around africa to pick up more so it’s impossible in this time frame that more vehicles could just be unloaded easily. Instead they would have to be air lifted To Saudi Arabia instead But this must be in RP which it’s not. Therefore the Congolese troops would simply be lacking most of their equipment to move and would have serious issues leaving for Riyadh so with this info it is assumed they would stay in the southeast unless of course the Congolese troops wanted them killed without any air cover to support themselves. Also the cargo would take a serious amount of time to unload from the ship Since the port would likely lack any willing crane operators due to the Congolese fleet sitting right along the shoreline and even if they did find an operator it would take at least a day to unload, crew, fuel, and prepare the trucks for deployment.

Given all of this I want everyone to please check evidence before making accusations that there is incorrect RP because this can lead to a lot of confusion and issues. I like to avoid nitpicking and I don’t mean to be rude or act irritated with any user because it was just a mistake but I’d like to really really avoid another occuance where I have to provide a exceedingly long defense to my posts. If this was a minor operation then I would just go with it but we are taking about the invasion of another user‘s nation right now.

TOP SECRET
2000

Operation Oryantal

The Saudi King would not respond to the attempts to cede the nation to the Nation of Turkey so after lining him up with the rest of the royals within the dark palace cellar the agents would line up in a group of ten facing the Sauids against the wall and open fire with a total of ten rounds for every royal to ensure no survivors. Blood would cake the polished marble walls with screams from the royals who had been in power for generations via similar tactics not unlike the ones used against them. Once the family was killed they would be dragged to the King’s Room and placed on the bed where gasoline would be found and doused across the sheets in an excess of 60 gallons across the room. Once finished using the gasoline the agents would disable the fire suppression systems in the control room and evacuate the building while securing a strong perimeter around the complex with an exception of two agents who would toss a match into the room and make a run for the exit as a great blaze erupted behind them from the huge fire that would light in the room and quickly begin to spread throughout the complex. Huge flames would erupt from the building with several large explosions as the palace burned with no evidence of Turkish Intervention left in the charred remains. The Agents would link up with command at the airport after discreetly making their way out of the area which lit up the night sky similar to a midnight sun or a volcano of molten lava.

The initial phase was a success, the forces had landed without any foreign powers appearing to react possibly because of the secrecy of the mission or their own incompetency in finding solutions to problems. The Forces would quickly secure the area and after hearing of the news that the palace was destroyed command would authorize the deployment of the forces across the city to set up a defensive perimeter. They would be expecting reinforcements soon though this would take a near constant flow of aircraft which were being siphoned from civilian airports in Ankara for deployment to Saudi Arabia. The Newly Formed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Saudi Territorial Divisions would be formed in Ankara out of the 400,000+ unstructured infantry based in Ankara waiting for an assignment. The divisions would be 15,000 Infantry each and armed with G3A1 Rifles, Yavuz 16 Sidearms, and standard infantry equipment(MICH Helmets, Type III Body Armor, etc).

The Transport Aircraft would be an assortment of Turkish Airlines A330s and A340s that were taken from civilian operators as part of the national emergency and martial law, the aircraft would take off at low level from Ankara under the constant guidance of ATC to avoid terrain, they would fly over Iraq at 27,000 feet before descending again to several hundred fleet and direct themselves to land at the airport via the north to avoid chances of detection. The Aircraft would just carry the troops and their basic equipment due to weight restrictions and ammo, guns, mortars, and grenades would be ferries the same way from Ankara via C-130. While all of this went on the MIM-104 Patriot Systems would be on high alert at the airport and at the Fihan Suburb where one system was moved following the successful deployment of all forces to the city(A C-130 would transport the command systems following the complete deployment of personnel which had indeed occurred).

Forces would be on high alert and moved to the following positions:

Map of Defensive Positions
(Boxes are the defensive line and Xs are barriers and Wire Set up to defend the city)
(Unit Symbols Represent Airborne, Infantry, Mechanized, and Rocket Units for the Operation, these locations are their strongest but forces are spread out against defensive line)
The defensive perimeter is secured by the 108th Airborne Division, 13th Light Mechanized Battalion, 992nd Infantry Brigade, and the 867th Rocket artillery Brigade who would dig in and begin building defenses across the city with blockades at the major highways into the city in order to protect against the Congolese and other adversaries. The Troops would dig into the buildings surrounding the city and would be on high alert for any signs of movement whatsoever. The OKK Airborne forces stationed at the airport would secure the airport perimeter and dig trenches along with barricades to protect the airport from attacks, it wold be considered the most protect area of the city. The Cobra I vehicles would patrol the street with several infantry with though the majority of the vehicles would be assigned to patrol with two personnel each within the vehicles along the defensive border, their machine guns loaded and ready pointing towards the defensive line. SAR 240 Machine guns would be set up along the defensive lines on highways to spray any enemy with bullets, and for anti armor capabilities the troops would have a dozen MILAN launchers on each of the entering highways. Supply lines from the airport were set up as well with command in the city center to allow for easy radio communications. The City as certainly at this point a fortress and once the 45,000 Troops were there they could begin offensive operations. Additionally curfew was set up in the city and civilians were ordered to only go out to get essentials while Saudi Police were allowed to maintain civilian order. It was also announced that the King was killed in an air strike by the west and that Turkish forces were coming to the city in order to protect it from the invaders. Generators were also set up for Military use only such as command equipment and infrared cameras which monitored the defensive lines. Fuel was to be flown in but in the meantime it was taken from the civilian population for defensive purposes.

As for the stationed attack aircraft, they would be flown to Riydah Air base in the center of the city for arming and deployment. The F-5s would halt patrols and station themselves at RUH with the supply aircraft since it was dangerous for them to fly while SAM were active And on such high alert. All of this would be TOP SECRET.
