Following the collapse of the Mugabe government, the infrastructure of Zimbabwe collapsed resulting in many of the nation's citizens to be without clean water and a safe home, famine has also begun taking hold of the nation. After being contacted directly by the new government, it was decided that Canada would send both humanitarians and peacekeepers to the nation to assure that no more innocent lives are lost and to assure both the peace and the rebuilding of the nation. Canada would be working alongside various other nations within Zimbabwe to assure these goals.

The Canadian who would serve as peacekeepers within the nation would have been handpicked from the 1st Canadian Division and the humanitarians and medical staff would have been selected from the Red Cross of Canada. These men and women were among the best suited and most disciplined that Canada had to offer to assure that everything went according to plan. They would all depart from CFB Trenton soon.

All five CC-150 Polaris transport planes had been prepped and ready: fully fueled, fully stocked, and inspected to assure that all of the aircraft were in working order before departing. Three hundred and eighty eight soldiers from the 12th Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment (divided into 13 platoons) entered the two CC-150 Polaris which had been allocated for peacekeeping personnel transport. Each of the platoons had stored the following weapons within the aircraft in secure containers: x23 C7A2 Assault Rifles, x6 Hi-Power Pistols, x6 M203A1 Under-barrel Grenade Launchers, x3 Parker-Hale M82 Sniper Rifles, x3 C9 Light Machine Gun, and x3 M3 Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifles. The two hundred and ninety-one humanitarians and ninety-seven medical personnel would board the other three allocated CC-150 Polaris transport planes. The last CC-150 Polaris airplane would be allocated to nothing but supplies and the airbase personnel would assure that the medical supplies, bottles of clean water, food, and building supplies all totaling up to 65,000 kilograms were safely and properly set into the cargo areas of the plane.

Once assuring that everyone was safely in their seats and that all of the supplies and equipment were properly secured, the pilots (2 per CC-150 Polaris) would safely depart from Canadian Forces Base Trenton and would fly towards Belfast City Airport following the transit route of FN>GO>HO>IO where they would refuel before departing to Zimbabwe.

The squadron of five CC-150 Polaris transport planes would begin descending down towards their landing target: Belfast City Airport. While they were told by their commanding officers back in Canadian Forces Base Trenton that the British government had given them the go-ahead to land within the airport to refuel, they would contact the airport just to be certain and avoid any possible disturbances or trouble between the planes and the airport.

"Belfast City Airport ground control," the pilot of the leading plane would begin, "this is Commander Micha Miller, pilot of the leading CC-150 Polaris of the 429th Transport Squadron. We've been told that the British government has allowed us to land and refuel before departing towards Zimbabwe. Please direct us to the refueling spot."

Following the requests to land, and having been authorized by Her Majesty's Government, Air Traffic Controllers would respond:

"Four-Two-Niner, Runway Two-Two, cleared to land. Exit at Taxiway Charlie, Taxi to Ramp via Charlie, Bravo"

This would take the aircraft, upon their arrivals, to a holding area where local fuel tenders could refuel the aircraft and offer re-supplies in general if required, of course, abiding all local air traffic regulations to do so.
The crews would be restricted to staying on the airport unless they intended to go through customs for which they would require a visa.

Once the squadron of five CC-150 Polaris' had been refueled by the British, the flight crew of the aircraft would ready for departure. Assuring that everything was in working order and that their fuel tanks were fully filled, the planes would depart from the Belfast City Airport assuring safe departure and avoidance of aircraft and other obstructions. Once safely in the air, the planes would begin making the journey towards their new destination: Robert Gabriel Mugabe Airport.

The five planes would fly southwards over the island nation of Ireland, following the grids of IO > IN > JM > JL > KK > KJ > KI > KH. It's estimated that the planes would arrive in eight hours time.

The five planes would eventually arrive over the nation of Zimbabwe and begin their descent to Mugabe International Airport. Once all of the planes had safely landed, they would begin disembarking the troops and the humanitarians, then the supplies would follow. It would be their hopes that the airport had been secured by the peacekeeping forces that arrived before them. The commanding officer of the troops on the ground, Major Henry Arnold, would contact the Zimbabwean government and notify them that the Canadians had arrived.

The Chief of Administrative Affairs, Tapiwa Mhlanga, answered the call made by the major.

"Hello, Major," He greeted. "Thank you for taking the time to inform us of your arrival. I have been informed by the chairman that the military contingent of Canada's contribution to the rebuilding of Zimbabwe are to focus upon defending Mugabe International and, if able, make themselves available to assist any other endeavours currently being undertaken by Canada, or the other nations in the UZACOM coalition. The civilian detachment of Red Cross volunteers have been given the task of assisting the Argentinians with the operation of the clinics and hospitals scattered across the capital. I have also been informed of a supplementary objective that The Red Cross are tasked with, which is to re-establish the Zimbabwean branch of The Red Cross here in Harare, so that the local populace can be mobilised into assisting the international effort."
