OPERATION KASHMIR
TOP SECRET/ENCRYPTED

1615799453900.png
As the Generals gave their briefing to the young men of the 8th and 28th Mountain Division, the men were very eager to accept such a noble goal. They chanted load and proud as the men were rallied up for their mission. After the briefing the men gathered their gear and began their foot march to the outskirts of the Jammu and Kashmir region. Every hour they men would rest for 15 minutes, during their route the men would eat and drink water as needed. 8th Mountain Division followed the route strait for Jammu, were they would lay siege to the town and occupy it, seeking and destroying any insurgents. While the 28th Mountain Division would head into the hills just outside Jammu and set up a Forward Operating Base, designated FOB Jammu. The role of FOB Jammu would be to support and supply the 8th Mountain Division in any role, ammunition, medical, supply, and Quick Reaction Forces (QRF). The OPFOR Staging Point would be garrisoned by other members of Northern Command and be constantly resupplying both the 8th and 28th Mountain Divisions. Due to lack of vehicles the supplies would only come once a week. The foot march for the 8th Mountain Division is expected to take 1 week. With 6 hours of marching to the location, and 2 hours of breaks a day. Whenever they'd stop for the day, they would make camp and get much needed rest. The 28th Mountain Division followed a route that lead to the hills just outside Jammu, it was expected to take them 5 days, following the same march/rest cycle as the 8th Mountain Division.

OPERATION KASHMIR
TOP SECRET/ENCRYPTED
The Soldiers would reach their positions. Jammu offered no resistance as the Indian troops of the 8th Mountain Division poured in. People in Jammu looked at the Soldiers as invaders. People gave glares but kept their distance. The Soldiers were quick to set up checkpoints and lock down the city.

Meanwhile the troops of the 28th Mountain Division were setting up a permanent military base just outside the City of Jammu, in the foothills east of the city.

Patrols were sent out to scout the surrounding areas, all patrols were met with no resistance only hostile looks in the citizens eyes.

OPERATION KASHMIR
TOP SECRET/ENCRYPTED
The Jammu region put up no resistance as the soldiers moved through the small villages. A further deployment of 2,000 KrAZ-6322 Trucks was put in place to arrive in the region. With Jammu secure the soldiers would mount up and begin to make checkpoints along key roads. With the Forward Operating Base nearing completion the General would move to that area, and deem it Fort Jammu. The Soldiers at Fort Jammu would continue to improve the base, and Army Engineers would begin to construct buildings, such as a Hospital, Entry Points, Schools, Energy Infrastructure, and Roads. For now the living accommodations would be tents. An Indian flag would be placed at the center of the base, alongside the Army's flag and the flag of the 28th Mountain Division.

The 8th Mountain Division would push out into the surrounding areas. With the Jammu and Kashmir region being firmly in control of India. The 8th Mountain Division would receive new orders. Push into the Ladakh region and eliminate any hostiles. Rules of Engagement are the same as above. This area is disputed between China and India. Regardless of the dispute Indian Troops would be ordered into the region. The 8th Mountain Division would quickly seize oobjective area's and establish a strong defence in the mountain region.

OPERATION KASHMIR
TOP SECRET/ENCRYPTED
The 8th Mountain Division would begin their movement to the Ladakh region, moving in vehicle columns.
1618784430879.png

They would now be within striking distance of the Stronghold located in the Ladakh region. They would patiently await orders for the attack. Jammu and Kashmir where now firmly under Indian control with little to no resistance. Scouts would be sent to obtain information on the Stronghold. After a few hours of scouting the reports would come in. A map would be drawn up. The Terrorist were using the Charasa Palace as their Stronghold. The terrorist were deeply entrenched and had patrols of their own scouting the mountain and wood filled region. The solid red triangles represented artillery pieces, the red circles represented machine gun bunkers, the red squares are anti-aircraft guns, and the red diamonds are sniper locations. A three part forward assault attack plan would be drawn up. The estimated casualty toll was expected to be high, however the Indian Army vastly outnumbered their opponent, though their opponent vastly outgunned the Indian Army.

The 8th Mountain Division got in position and waited for further orders, the 28th Mountain Division would be waiting in reserve. Snow began to fall onto the troops while they waited in their assigned areas, waiting for attack. They would set up Foraward Operating Camps.

This would appear to be a long and cold battle ahead of the troops. Moral began to plummet the longer they waited.

All troops would be pulled back to the Jammu and Kashmir region, leaving the Ladakh region in the state it was before Indian troops arrived. The operation would be brought to the close, with the Jammu and Kashmir being officially incorporated into India.
