[Philippines] Phonecall to South Korea

Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano would initiate a private, secured phonecall to his South Korean counterpart.

Due to an emergency regarding the state of the city of Gyeongju, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be ordered to suspend all foreign communications until further notice. The call would instead be forwarded to one of the Director's of the Rescue Efforts in Gyeongju, as that is presumably what the call is for.

"Hello sir. My name is Alan Peter Cayetano, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

On behalf of the Filipino people, I'd like to express our deepest sympathy and condolences for the people of Gyeongju. The Philippines is a friend and an ally of South Korea since 1951. We have helped each other in dire times, and we will not hesitate to help South Korea in this time of need.

Our President, Rodrigo Duterte, is actually in Japan right now and has just concluded his state visit. He is actually planning to visit South Korea next."
