Minister Paul,

I hope this message reaches you in good health and state of mind. I am writing in regards to your recent purchase from the Polish Defense Industries of four Lublin-class Minelayer/Landing ships. We are in the process of modernizing the Polish navy and seeking to obtain a longer range vessel and as such, we have chosen to decommission four of our Lublin-class Minelayer/Landing ships(OKP Poznan, OKP Torun, OKP Wroclaw, OKP Katowice). You were our first choice to see if there would be interest in selling these ships to a third party based off of your previous history with PDI.
Sincerely,

Matylda Jabłońska

Dear Deputy Minister Jabłońska,

You are correct, our navy would very much be interested in these vessels.

Though, these vessels are used so we are not entirely willing to purchase them at full price. Instead, the government is willing to put aside a total of 720,000,000.00USD to purchase the 4 Lublin-class vessels for 180,000,000.00USD each.

Would this be an agreeable amount?

Kindest Regards,
Jocelyn Paul

Minister Paul,

Thank you for the prompt reply in regards to this purchase. Poland is amenable to the cost of $180,000,000.00 per vessel. We are also offering a ten year maintenance contract at no additional cost to the Canadian government to better care for these four vessels as well as the previously purchased ships from the Polish Defense Industry. Hopefully this will entice the Canadian government to continue to do business with the Polish Defense Industries and we will also keep the Kingdom of Canada in mind for any vessels or equipment being rotated out of the armed services as the primary point of contact. Which brings us to the point that we are rolling out 500 OT-64 SKOT AAPC and were wondering if Canada would be interested in purchasing some, if not all, of these vehicles for a reduced price of $600,000.00 per vehicle.
Sincerely,

Matylda Jabłońska

Dear Deputy Minister Jabłońska,

I'm glad we've come to an agreement.

We would be interested in purchasing these SKOT amphibious armored personnel carriers at 600,000.00USD per vehicle. That would total to 300,000,000.00USD, alongside the purchase of the landing ships, the total of our purchase should be 1,020,000,000.00USD.

I will have the fund transferred to the Kingdom of Poland shortly.

If Poland ever wishes to retire more equipment, please don't forget about us.

Kindest Regards,
Jocelyn Paul
Minister of National Defence

Minister Paul,

We have received the funds for the 500 SKOT AAPCs and the four Lublin-class Minelayer/Landing ships. The vessels and the vehicles will be delivered via sea to CFB Halifax. While we continue to modernize the Polish Royal Navy, we will be sure to keep the Kingdom of Canada in mind for any vessels being phased out. If there are any questions or concerns regarding this purchase do not hesitate to reach out to me. And if you wish to purchase something that is not on the Polish Defense Industries catalogue, we may be able to work a deal out.
Sincerely,

Matylda Jabłońska
