Greetings!

It is of my utmost honor to contact your government in behalf of mine, and I am glad to announce to you that Portugal is willing to open Diplomatic Relations with Spain. Seeing that both of our countries reside in the Iberian Peninsula, it would be beneficial for the both of us to work together and strive for the development of both of our nations. I would start by proposing a Defensive Alliance between both of our nations, as well as a Free-Trade Agreement for the benefit of both of our countries. I would appreciate if I may visit you there in Madrid to continue to discuss this further, or you may visit me in my office here in Lisbon if you are available. I hope to hear from you soon.
