The Swedish Department of the Economy, with note to the written restrictions in place for 'merchant vessels' within Syrian ports, begins the reclassification of ships destined for these locations as 'trade vessels' in order to avoid tariffs in place.

Following from the latest announcement from the Syrian Regime, the Department for International Trade has assigned a number of persons to review the trade routes that the United Kingdom currently has in place to ensure none coincide with Syria to avoid the tariffs.
Fortunately no trade between the UK and another party took place that this would effect but it was noted for any future trade discussions.
