Discussions took place regarding a joint exercise between the People's Republic of China and the United Kingdom to provide training to both nations' naval forces. The exercise would take place in the East China Sea, the Port of Ningbo to serve as their base of operations during. This exercise would serve to train and familiarize the Royal Navy and the People's Liberation Navy in the use of the BAE Harrier II, anti-submarine warfare, naval logistics, anti-air warfare, and ship-to-surface warfare. It would also serve to better the cooperation between the armed forces of the People's Liberation Armed Forces and the Royal Armed Forces.

Personnel, tugboats, and firefighting ships and aircraft would also be stationed in and near Ningbo in the case of possible accidents.

The British would be informed that the exercise was ready to begin and the Chinese forces and units would be waiting for the arrival of the British naval forces in the Port of Ningbo.

Following on from: https://modernnations.com/threads/great-britain-csg-maritime-group-1.10366/

The Maritime Group 1, Britain's new carrier strike group begun its arrival to China, informing the Chinese Authorities of their arrival. The fleet begun to make for the Port of Ningbo, ensuring they had permission from the harbor masters and in general, the government. The leading officer of the fleet was sure to following expectations of International and Local Law to prevent any complciations between what could be a very progressive military exercise between the UK and China. If denied access, the fleet would hold off in International Waters to wait for confirmation as to whether the exercise was still going ahead.

The People's Liberation Navy would receive the transmission from the British Maritime Group 1 and of the arrival of the carrier strike group. The navy would authorize the British to land their strike group into the Port of Ningbo. Once in the Port, the Chinese navy would offer them whatever supplies it was they needed: water, food, fuel, etc.

The Chinese officer in charge of the First Carrier Strike Group would ask permission to board the ship that the British officer in charge of Maritime Group 1 was currently boarded on so that they may discuss exercise Sea Dragon in person and in more detail.

The British Maritime Group 1 arrived at the port of Ningbo. Perhaps considered a landmark moment that will see a combined fleet and effort between the British and Chinese as they embark on a joint training exercise, news reporters from the UK had been present to record the moment the fleet arrived identifying it as a 'strong step forward' for relations between the UK and Asia. Accepting the food, water, fuel and general supplies, this only gave the Royal Navy ships the reassurance they were operating at maximum capacity. Whilst that exchange went on, the Chinese Officer in Charge was approved, but actually, invited, into HMS Invincible. Britain's flag ship, taking him straight to the bridge to meet with Admiral Johnson to discuss the Exercise and hopefully get it underway.

OOC: Sorry for the late reply.

The Chinese Admiral, Ma Ju, would board the HMS Invincible and salute the British Admiral.

"I thank you for the invitation, Admiral Johnson. This is quite the impressive ship.

I came here before we began the exercise so that we may discuss it in more detail. The Chinese navy's main focus would be on the use of the BAE Harrier IIs, but there are other things we can focus on such as anti-ship, anti-air, and anti-submarine warfare and naval logistics. All of which will be practiced in the East China Sea.

Do you have any concerns or anything you wish to focus on before we begin?"
