To: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Egypt
From: Tang Jiaxuan

To Whom It May Concern,

I am contacting you on behalf of the People's Republic of China as its Foreign Affairs Minister.

Paramount Leader Hu Jintao has made it China's foreign affairs policy to secure diplomatic ties with as many nations as possible; regardless of prior history, politics, ideology, and location. With that said, China has contacted the Republic of Egypt with the belief that your nation is by far the strongest military power in Africa, the Middle East, and even the Mediterranean; only rivaled by France. Furthermore, it is believed that only our two nations are the only nations on the global stage that are not apart of the international entity known as the 'Global Assembly' and it is China's belief that we should keep close ties and support each other were there anything to happen against our nations related to the Global Assembly such as sanctions.

With these points said, I believe our the best way to begin ties between our two nations is to open trade routes. China would be able to export the following goods to Egypt: electrical machinery, machinery including computers, consumer goods, vehicles, and articles of iron and steel. China, in turn, would be interested in importing crude oil and copper from Egypt. China would be able to sail the exports to the Suez itself while Egypt will be able to use a number of ports such as: Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Dalian.

Additionally, we would like to know Egypt's stance on other nations. What is your foreign affairs stance?

Kindest Regards,
Tang Jiaxuan
Minister of Foreign Affairs
People's Republic of China

Minister Jiaxuan,
On behalf of the Government I represent, I can espress you our sincere gratitude for extending this new bridge of communication between the People's Republic of Chine and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

As you correctly mentioned in your previous message, our nations share many similarities in terms of foreign agenda and commerce, thus opening the opportunity for the deepening of our bilateral relations, firstly on the matters you raised, but later on extending to other issues.

Egypt mantains a general policy of neutrality, refusing to take part in multilateral commitments that could lead to a resignation of sovereignty on sensible matters. We also do not share the current policing attitude of the General Assembly on certain matters.

Regarding the trade you proposed, my nation would be willing to open our markets for the chinese goods mentioned. In return, in addition to our oil and copper, we would also like to export gold and produce to the People's Republic of China. Of course, access through the Suez Canal is immediatly granted to all vessels engaging in bilateral trade with our nation.

Sincerely yours,

Sadiki Aswad
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Arab Republic of Egypt

Dearest Minister Sadiki,

I am happy to hear that both of our nations can agree on maintaining as much of our sovereignty as possibly. Both Egyptians and Chinese have suffered at the hands of countless imperialist empires wanting nothing but our submission or complete destruction. China stands with Egypt in stating and taking steps towards maintaining its sovereignty from outside forces, including organizations such as the Global Assembly who would attempt to police our people.

China will accept the import of Egyptian gold and produce to Chinese markets. All Egyptian imports coming to China can be shipped via Hong Kong.

Furthermore, I would like to discuss the possibility of a free-trade agreement between our two nations. As neither Egypt nor China is within the Global Assembly, this would leave us prone to possible sanctions by states who are members of this Assembly. With a free-trade agreement between our nations, it would assure that we would not be fully crippled were sanctions to in fact occur.

This is, of course, something that can be left open for later on until your nation is more comfortable signing such an agreement with the People's Republic.

I eagerly await your reply.

Kindest Regards,
Tang Jiaxuan
Minister of Foreign Affairs
People's Republic of China

Minister Jiaxuan,
A united front of the nations not currently being part of the General Assembly is in our understanding vital to preserve the independence and neutrality of our nations, and to keep interventionist policies away from our national intersets. With that said, some of my advisers suggests Egypt to request an observer status at the GA, in order to monitor the developings there and help us prevent future damage.

Regarding the commercial affairs, we will straight away set up the corresponding paperwork to launch the trade of the previously discussed goods as soon as possible between the ports of Hong-Kong and Suez. It is our understanding that its more efficient to use the Port of Suez, located in the Red Sea, rather than the Port of Alexandria, set on the Mediterranean Sea, avoiding the time required to cross the Canal.

Finally, regarding your FTA proposal, with some minor exceptions to protect few strategic egyptian industries, we are very much open to subscribe it. Furthermore, we would encourage expanding it to other non-GA nations, as long as this new network remains strictly on the commercial level.

One of the current egyptian administrations main foreign policies is one of neutrality and the avoidance of alliances and multilateral responsabilities. We prefer to work bilaterally on the political level.

Best regards,

Sadiki Aswad
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Arab Republic of Egypt

Dearest Minister Aswad,

I am glad to hear that Egypt believes that a front of non-GA members to be beneficial as China believes this as well. Forming ties and commercial pacts with other non-GA members would prove to be beneficial for all of us. As for our own FTA, what would your exceptions be?

Furthermore, our exports from Hong Kong have already departed to the Suez and will be doing their monthly exports from here on out.

Lastly, as a sign of good faith for the future of our relations; I would like to offer Egypt a 10% discount on all Chinese military equipment in the chance of potential purchases. This 10% would be added on top of the 10% off we offer to a customer's first purchase for a total of 20% off on Egypt's first purchase, if they were to make one. We offer many pieces of equipment for exports; tanks, fighters, APCs, missiles, IFVs, ships, and many more.

I am eager to hear back from you.

Kindest Regards,
Tang Jiaxuan

Minister Jiaxuan,
The current administrations economica development plan includes the industralization of a major portion of the agricultural sector of Egypt, by technifying and mechanizing their processes to increase the efficiency and output. Considering that, we would like to exclude related products from potential FTA in order to avoid disrupting the current process.

I understand the trade routes between Suez and Shanghai have been established and are already operational, we put high value in our trade partners and look forward to expand the exchange form a mere commercial one to a level which involves military equipment as well. We will review the current catalogue and products offered by the chinese arms corporations and value what the egyptian armed forces are currently requiring.

I was tasked by my colelague the egyptian Minister of Defence to inquire about a potential naval exercise in the Mediterranean area. What are your thought about it?

Sincerely yours,

Sadiki Aswad

Minister,
I understand our colleagues from our respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs have been already in touch regarding this issue, but now, considering it is rather our area of competence, I would like to submit a price request for certain chinese military equipment.

"Ambassador, how are you? Thank you for taking our call. We have been following the events currently unfolding in Vietnam at your embassy. We are very concerned about the safe-being of your personnel and wanted to let you know that we support your efforts to solve the situation quickly and without any bloodshed. Should there be any way Egypt can be of help, please let us know, the People's Republic of China is considered here a strong ally, and our only friend outside the GA."

"I am doing well, thank you for asking. We appreciate your support for us, we're doing our best to assure that this is dealt with without anyone getting hurt. Hopefully things do not take a turn for the worst.

As for what Egypt can do for us; simple diplomatic support would suffice. We don't wish to escalate the situation anymore than that.

I was also notified by my government that your Armed Forces have placed forth a price request for some of our equipment? I have been faxed these prices, if you are still interested in them. While we do not have a YJ-98 missile system, we do possess the YJ-83 Anti-Ship Missile Systems which would be priced at 4,363,060.00$/unit. The HQ-9 SAM System would be priced at 16,250,000.00$/unit. Lastly, the JY-14 Radar would be price at 5,182,450.90$/unit."

"Good then, we will make a public statement calling for a peaceful solution and supporting any negotiation attempt initiated by the People's Republic of China.

Regarding the equipment, thank you very much for this information. There is still interest in acquiring them indeed.

We would like to acquire 200x YJ-83 Anti-Ship Missile launchers, 48x HQ-9 SAM Systems. Finally, we would like to add 12 JY-14 Radars.
