The United Arab Emirates thanks you and your government for your desire to expand the diplomatic and economic relationship between our two nations. In decades past Japan has been one of the top importers of Emirati exports (Primarily fossil fuels), while the UAE imported a whole range of Japanese products. So it goes without saying that renewing and potentially even expanding the bilateral economic relationship between the UAE and Japan is a cornerstone of the UAE's foreign policy at this time. While the UAE also wishes to build strong diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of Japan, which are based on mutual trust, mutual benefit, and the advancement of both of our nations people.

Unfortunately I'm currently hosting a delegation from Taiwan in Abu Dhabi and am unable to meet with you at this time. I would however like to send one of my most trusted advisers to Japan to meet with you in my place, my brother the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Please let me know if this arrangement works for you at this time. Should my brothers substitution please you, I shall dispatch my brother to meet with you in Tokoyo at once.
