PROJECT COST | 470,000,000.00 |
COMPLETION DATE | 01/12/2022 |
PROJECT INFORMATION | After a recent exploration of the Onshore Block CON4, CON5 and CON3 in the Lower Congo Basin achieved a breakthrough and discovered the Chinde Oil Fields, enthusiasm rapidly materialised to construct Angola's largest onshore extraction operation. Just 60km south-east from Soyo, the Chinde oil fields is estimated to hold approximately 3.6 billion barrels. To extract the oil, 600 jackpump oil wells will be constructed, extracting a target of 500 barrels-per-day per-unit, totalling a target output of 300,000 barrels-per-day. The extracted oil will be transported from the site via HGV tankers. At the target rates of production and reserve estimates, the Chinde oil field will be depleted after approximately 32 years of extraction. |
