| PROJECT INFORMATION | The station will be able to accommodate 60 summering personnel and 25 wintering personnel. It will be a base for research on marine, glaciological, geological, and atmospheric sciences and for expeditions inland. It will be supplied by annual trips by the auxiliary vessel PLNS Sea Ice. The station will have the following buildings and accessories: three residence buildings (accommodation for up to 20 people each, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, storage, and everything else people would need to live comfortably - especially in Antarctica), main research building that would hold all the devices and equipment for research (marine, glaciological, geological, and atmospheric), main building for storage for auxiliary equipment for inland expeditions, ten cylindrical pressure vessels with pipes leading to each of the main building for use, storage for snowmobiles and ATVs and other four wheel drive vehicles, storage buildings for equipment and spare parts, storage buildings for supplies, a helipad for a AS350 Ecureuil. Room will also be accommodated in the case that the Chinese government believes it necessary to begin placing SAM and ASMS if their station or personnel were under threat. |
