PROJECT INFORMATION | - SECRET PROJECT - In order to serve as home bases of the new Egyptian National Guard air component, 4 new air fields would be constructed. They would be located in safe military areas, off limits to civilian population. Each of these air bases would have the following facilities: - 3 independent 3,000m concrete runways, oriented in direction of prevailing wind. - Taxi ways and access from the tarmacs and hangars to all 3 runways to efficiently and quickly launch waves of aircraft. - 3 different separated tarmacs, with independent access ways to the runways. - Each tarmac has 1 large hangar and 4 underground concealed bunker-hangars, with reinforced ceilings. In total each "tarmac" would have the capacity to hold and service 48 small fighter aircraft. - Each tarmac (hangar and bunkers) would have their own maintenance section and storage, with place for supplies and armament. - Control tower and control back up room. - Radars and encrypted communication systems. - Independent energy generator. - Living quarters for pilots and staff. - Emergency equipment. - Underground water recollection and processing unit. - Access infrastructure and perimeter fence and detection system.
