| PROJECT INFORMATION | The port of Alexandria, the biggest in Egypt in terms of commercial traffic, will be expanded to accomodate and service additional vessels as well as larger-sized merchant ships. The space for storage and manipulation of containers will also be increase by 35%, construction of support facilities such as cranes, warehouses and load-offload areas for trucks. A better vehicle access would be constructed, connecting directly to the renewed national highway network. |
