| PROJECT INFORMATION | This project is part of the ethiopian governments efforts in modernizing the transport infrastructure to reduce transport costs and times as well as to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents and deaths. The Addis Ababa–Adama Expressway is highway that will connect both cities with a 3 and 2 lane expressway along its almost 90km length between both cities downtowns. The project is expected to reduce travel times by up to 50%. The expressway will be accompanied by several junctions and service areas along it, providing also easier connectivity to nearby urban areas and production centers. Traffic camaras and digital signaling will also be installed along the whole project to make the operation of emergency services and road-side assistance easier and more efficient.
