| PROJECT INFORMATION | Construction has begun at RAF Marham, the current home for the Tornado Strike Aircraft for the "Lightning Maintenance and Finish Facility", a maintenance and care facility for the F-35B Joint Strike Fighter Aircraft in preparation for 802 Naval Air Squadron and 809 Naval Air Squadron, both currently stationed at RNAS Yeovilton to be relocated to RAF Marham. The facility covers basic administration for the F-35Bs, hangar for the aircraft to be housed and equipment for maintaining all eighty plus aircraft. No date had yet been decided for the relocation although it was expected to be soon as RNAS Yeovilton was expected to become the home of the Royal Navy Helicopter Force.   |
