Base will include;
A Dry Dock
Suitable accommodation for 30,000 men, with family accommodation
A training school for enlisted
Officer Training School
Marine base/Training grounds
A mosque
Navy Police HQ
Military Working Dogs kennels
Shopping mall
6 Helipads and aircraft maintenance services.
1 New port area with ship berthing for up to 30 vessels, ranging in size from patrol boat to aircraft carrier
Secondary port area - designed to be able to be separated from the main Iraqi base for foreign navy rentals - this area will have a interior perimeter wall and guard posts - when not in use by a foreign navy it will operate as a secondary base. Extensive dredging will allow 15 vessels to be based here. - up t0 2,000 troops can be accommodated in this area
Third port area - will include pontoons to allow a riverine force to be based at the area.
A 800 bed Military Hospital - with burns, critical care and trauma operating capability.
Air Defence firing points to North, South, East and West of base made. This will include elevated areas for long range radar.
20ft Perimeter fence, barbed wiring and guard posts around the perimeter.
3 Entry check points - to be heavily fortified with barricades and guard posts.
The already existing Iraqi government port will be incorporated into the perimeter fence, allowing a 4th docking area.

Extensive dredging/digging and land reclamation will be required.
