PROJECT INFORMATION	Project Sentinel Shield represents Portugal's concerted effort to bolster its cyber defense capabilities against emerging threats. Key Components: Encryption Standards: Implement robust encryption standards, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), to secure sensitive data and communications against unauthorized access or interception attempts. Advanced Threat Detection: Deploy intrusion detection systems (IDS), security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, and behavioral analytics tools to detect and respond to advanced cyber threats. Secure Access Controls: Enforce strict access controls, multifactor authentication (MFA), and least privilege principles to limit unauthorized access to critical systems and data. Network Segmentation: Divide the network into separate segments to limit the impact of potential breaches and prevent lateral movement by attackers. Implement firewalls and access control lists (ACLs) to control traffic flow between segments. Endpoint Security: Deploy endpoint protection platforms (EPP) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions to defend against malware, ransomware, and other malicious activities targeting endpoints such as desktops, laptops, and servers.
