| PROJECT INFORMATION | Installation of new CCTV cameras, subsidized cost for CCTV installations for small businesses and schools updated infrastructure. Deterrence of crime, as well as assisting police in conducting investigations and into crimes.The CCTVs will assist in protecting small businesses and other entities from nonviolent crimes. By having CCTVs, criminals will be able to be not only caught, but tracked without foot patrols present. These measures will be effective to deter and reduce crime rates. Local Governments $50 million Judicial Reforms that will expand punishment for crimes against minors and juveniles; protection of victims their privacy, and their anonymity to avoid social judgement as victims; provide public information on sexual crimes as well as domestic violence; expanding services at prisons to help rehabilitate nonviolent offenders, Ministry of Justice $120 million These reforms are set to act as a deterrence and provide protection for victims of crimes to ensure that they can provide evidence without fear of retribution or social ostracization. By providing these platforms more victims may feel encouraged to come speak, especially victims of sexual crimes and violence. These measures will be overseen as well with services being expanded in prison. A public database and information campaign will let neighbors and the community know of violent crime offenders who have been released, with the ability to be informed about repeated nonviolent criminal offenders.Training and skills development whilst in prison for nonviolent crime offenders and those deemed by the Ministry of Justice as capable or returning to a civilian life post-release. The Ministry of Finance and Interior shall cooperate to provide a fair outlook to ensure former inmates to not return to violence with a path towards labor and future employment The Ministry of Trade shall assist where necessary to provide relief and oversight in matters of industrial affairs to post-release productivity with a program to train inmates while in prison This will reduce post-release criminal offenders recidivism, and a return to a criminal life, by providing a positive outlook to become a productive member of society, with educational and training benefits whilst in prison to ensure they can engage meaningfully when they leave prison. Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, Ministry of Interior and Safety, Ministry of Justice, $45 million Anti-bullying, bullying prevention, education awareness, after-school activities, rigorous, educational initiatives, program for educational specialization in arts, science, mathematics, music, dance, and computer science. To prevent the youth from engaging in crime, the government seeks to create a positive educational environment, fight school violence (bullying) to preemptively stop future criminal or workplace violence offenders and protect students from violence by their peers. An effective schooling program is crucial, for this goal, the ministry of education has outlined a program to not only educate students on crime and its negative society consequences, but engage their parents and their community. Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Local Schools and Governments $180 million Communal police patrols, local communities conducting night patrols around school zones, restaurants, areas of non-violent crime possibility, and cooperation between the local police units and these patrols. This will reduce the nonviolent crime rate through the community being engaged and also aware of their surroundings. By being apart of the effort, community members influence one another to not engage in crimes. They also will have a vested interested to report and stop crimes as they will occur in their neighborhoods. These patrols will reduce attacks on women and minors at night, but also protect all citizens who go out at night. These patrols will be supported by the police to allow the comfort and security of the local communities.
