The NIS largely focuses on subverting North Korean intelligence operations in the South while getting a clearer picture on the North's artillery, strategic weapons, military, economic, political, and social situations. Being able to accurately assess the situation in the North is a major task for the agency, but also working with local authorities to undermine the North's Operations is an area where failure can not be afforded.

Area of Interest

Domestic Affairs
North Korean Affairs

The NIS building interior equipped with state art communications equipment, operational rooms for sustained operations, operational rooms for short-term operations, secured communications rooms, field office coordination rooms, and all necessary office space. The building will be secured from an explosive or chemical attack through blast-resistant windows, thick concrete walls, and security checkpoints throughout the building. The space around the building would be monitored to avoid allowing foreign agents the ability to monitor movement around and in the building. Back generators inside the building are to be installed. Security measures will ensure no person can enter the building with secure biometric scans, NIS-ids, retinal and facial scan technology, and security patrols.

The NIS will employ 100 Operation Offices, 200 Intelligence Officers, 50 Support Staff, 20 Protection Operatives, 80 Tactical Operatives, 12 Strategic Analysts, 18 Military Coordiantors, and 90 Digital/Cyber Agents. The Agency will be equipped with the means to detect North Korean communications and activities, report actively on regional threats including China and Japan, protect Korea from foreign espionage and warn the Korean Government of threats to Korean interests and nationals. Wire-taping, electronically surveillance, human intelligence & assets, digital espionage, and hacking are all tools the agency uses to gather information.

The building will be hardwired to be secure from an electronic attack and its servers all connected within the building not allowing others to access it. Inside, mobile phones and personal electronics are stored outside the building in secure lockers and the safe is open with a key held by employees, Electronic screeners also detecting mobile chips, usbs, and other items are installed at every entrance and exist and countermeasures are constantly updated.

Server banks capable of storing petabytes of classified information will be available to the NIS agency and the technical hacking equipment used in breaking into encrypted networks will also be provided. At the same time the agency will employ the latest in defensive firewall technology to keep the data stored on the servers from falling in to unauthorized hands.
