| PROJECT INFORMATION | The United States Light House Service would allocate $5-million to the restoration of Graves Light located on The Graves, near Boston. A first-order Fresnel lens was reinstalled along with solar panels to power the internals of the tower. The interior of the tower itself would be updated with modern furnishings and amenities for the light keepers, and the catwalk between the tower and the oil building was rebuilt to modern standards. Electricity and modern plumbing would be installed inside, and a lightning rod was installed on top of the tower. |
