PROJECT INFORMATION | The U.S. Secret Service Headquarters will occupy the building at 920-934 H Street NW, Washington D.C. and will also own the old Webster School building next door. Inside of the building will be state of the art communications equipment as well as plenty of office space for the agency to be able to manage its field offices and agents around the world. All of the windows are blast resistant and the walls are retrofitted so that listening into the building would be an exceptionally difficult, if not impossible task, from the outside. The building will also have diesel generators in the basement (with exhaust going out of the building) in the event that there is a major power failure. There would also be ample security precautions to prevent unwanted people from entering, including metal detectors at all entrances and exists as well as an integrated network of security cameras capable of recording sound, color, and even switching to night vision and infrared. The Secret Service has two primary objectives: the protection of America's highest leaders and their families, as well as criminal investigations into the finance and currency. |
