Dear Minister Élodie Dupont, As you may be aware, New Caledonia has traditionally been linked to the world through Australia. However, since the start of the crisis in New Caledonia, we had no choice but to suspend our operations to Noumea-La Tontouta International Airport, which has made New Caledonia increasingly isolated from the rest of the world, in terms of both passengers and freight. As the situation begins to simmer on the island we wish to resume services to Noumea. These services will include the following: Sydney to Noumea (operated by Qantas 737-800) Brisbane to Noumea (operated by Qantas 737-800) Cairns to Noumea (operated by QantasLink A320-200 or Boeing 717-200) Brisbane to Noumea (operated by Jetstar A320-200) Brisbane to Noumea (operated by Qantas Freight A321-200P2F) Yours sincerely, Geoffrey Dixon.
