I strongly disagree with moderation on this thread, should this be a simulation of real life then my counter is successful. Whilst I understand MN cannot be entirely realistic, roleplay requires an 'attack vs. counter' situation rather than 'attack attack attack attack'.
In this scenario I have no choice but to accept my fate purely because I didn't encrypt a private organisations emails... private organisations do not encrypt their emails ordinary and enforcing a scenario where everyone encrypts everything makes the rule pointless in itself. I should have the ability to use my knowledge of computer systems and networking to my advantage in order to prevent attacks against my state, similar to how those with better knowledge of firearms and mechanised vehicles could counter me in a wartime scenario with their own technical knowledge.
