With British allies now in control of the Atsimo Andrefana Region, the Malagasy forces can now focus on control of the 2 other affected regions. To do so,
3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment (752, 70 DAF YA-4442, 8 Komatsu LAV) have been sent to the region via road convoy and will travel to the province of Melaky.

In other news, the Malagasy parliament has recieved a draft bill from the Department of Health to help combat the threat of Ebola. The bill contains a number of powers to stop the spread of Ebola;
  • The ability of the Governors to declare Towns contained, travel to and from these villages and towns will be prohibited and those who breach this will be arrested
  • Banning of large scale sports events and large public gatherings of more than 100 people.
  • The ability of the police and army to confine those suspected of being infected to hospital

The Department of Health has also named the virus as EAEV95 to prevent confusion about its origins and has begun to fund the development of a vaccine to cure the virus. Samples of the virus have been collected from those infected within the hospitals and taken to labs for further study.
