Around midday in the Kingdom, the normal program for the news would start, however they would start to report a breaking story, that would shake the nation's capital. Blaring on the screens of the Spanish Televisions at home the following headline would show;

JUAN CARLOS INVOLVED IN TAX FRAUD

261338.jpg
Tax_fraud_swkgl0.jpg

The story would follow that the king was involved in a serious tax fraud scheme, paying only, since 1990, 1'321$ total in tax to the state, detailing how the monarchy was even proud to achieve this, while millions of Spanish citizens were forced to pay their due taxes. In the news various citizens would be interviewed and many felt cheated by the King, and many even called to have him be forced to pay what he owns the state. The segment would show various proofs via documents received via an anonymous source, detailing the Kings expenses, wage and et cetera. The Spanish IRS was contacted and they would confirm the veracity of the documents and would try to contact the Monarchy and the Government regarding this issue. It would detail that an investigation would follow in order to know if the document was correct, but that it would take time. The segment would also say that they tried to contact the Monarchy Spokesperson but no answer was given.

Over the course of the day, the news channels would continue this story, talking with citizens and discovering more and more, specialists would analyze the documents live giving their opinions. After this day, the King's image was slightly tarnished, only time would tell what would be the Kings next move, to appease the population?

After the recent news about the King Tax fraud yesterday, the Monarchy was extremely quiet about this event, no statement, no public appearance, nothing. The News stations were scrambling to find anything about the thoughts of the King.
The Government had already reached out upon being asked by a prime time news program, the Prime Minister told the reporter that -The position of the Government stood with the law, and that it will not interfere or opine the process of the IRS or its investigation. What ever comes out of this investigation, it is a example that the justice system in Spain, works as intended.- Many experts dissected the statement, calling that the Prime Minister was either on the fence, or secretly condemning the Monarchy for its wrong doings.

And then it happen, a few hours after, a recorded video slipped its way into major news stations, from the gardens of the unofficial summer residence of the King, with him talking to his heir and son, how this video managed to capture this conversation without being caught is astonishing, it would be blasted through news medias at a rapid pace, reaching the international media. The Video was as follows.

ESP-04-marivent.jpg

The video would be shaky, taken from a window, but the voices would be clear. On the video you can see the King and his Son, lounging to the summer sun on their gardens, talking.

King: "That tax shit is so fucking unbelievable, how in the crap did that get out, I thought I was being careful, I think we have a rat on my friends to be fucking honest."

Son: "Don't be so damn harsh, it was bound to happen, especially with that shit of a government we have, all "MORAL" and "TRUTH" fuck them, you see what Rafael said? "We stand with the law" what a cuck. And I bet you that-I bet you that when the IRS rules in your favor, cause they are all little shits, he will come out and openly support you."

King: *laughs* "That is so true, you know what, I should just- when word comes out- of the IRS- just disband the Government and call elections, I mean why the hell do we even get elections, should just be like Franco, I rule, you serve. So much easier!" He would gesture, opening his arms and hands and shrugging. "That way would be so much easier, granted-" He would open a palm towards his son stopping and chuckles "Franco as a shit, but still. Good ideas, bad execution."

Son: "Are you serious?" He would chuckle visibly "Like the old times!" He would point towards two points in the air in front of him. "You and you, executed! I what? Tax? Prison for life"

King: He would laugh, almost pulling his lungs out. "Yes! Yes! To be goddammit honest, the Spanish need a strong damn hand, an iron fist, that's the only way they do some fucking work, and not bitch about their fucking King not paying a stupid tax that shouldn't even exist." He would look to his son tongue in cheek. "I mean, I need more cars right? And the palace doesn't pay itself" He would look to the palace behind him.

The video would cut off, with a yelp.

News stations would be blaring with this story, asking people their opinions, experts talking, former government officials, judges, lawyers all would give their opinions live or recorded and it would all be unanimous.
Rage.

The video going viral on various news channels the people were becoming increasingly unstable, especially with the comments regarding Freedom, the Government and the People themselves. The next day, people were on the streets peacefully demonstrating their displeasure, especially in regions where the sense of autonomy and independence was strong. In the Catalonia region, near Barcelona, 2400 peaceful demonstrators were walking down the streets chanting for the Monarchy to abdicate and be brought to justice for their words against the people and democracy it self. In Galícia, near Vigo the same would happen but with 1200 people, doing the same actions and chanting the same chants and phrases against the Monarchy, but this time more directed at the Heir for not controlling his Father. And finally in the Capital, Madrid, around 5400 people were gathered near the King Official Palace, and nearby streets, chanting and yelling against the Monarchy, with the same hatred as the previous two groups in the previous two cities. The police force would be forced to act in a peacefully way, gathering around all active groups and making sure no one got hurt, didn't show any aggressive behaviour or incited violence. They were within their right to show their displeasure towards what was happening. In time the protesters would calm down and their numbers would dwindle. But small pockets of protesters would still remain, around the hundreds, with police always closely watching.

Meanwhile various news stations, tried to get more information regarding the Kings Statements and the Leaked Video, by the Prime Minister. After a while during the last hours of the day, a statement would be received by the Press.

- In a Democracy, in a free nation, the people have their right to show their displeasure towards the government, its monarchy, its ruling body, it is the people who give us the position to represent the State, and them. It is our job to protect our Nation, from inside and outside threats. We shall be blunt and honest, we vehemently condemn his Majesty Juan Carlos and his Heir for their words towards, the Spanish Government, the Spanish People and our most loved democracy and rule of law. For a King, the highest authority in the nation, to disregard and insult freedom, to consider authoritarianism a good path to follow, saddens me, my colleagues and our great nation, still wounded from the past. I hope that, his Majesty, the King of Spain, will fall back on his words, and truly apologise to the nation.-

Another couple of days would pass, but the news would not let the nation forget of what their king did. The IRS would confirm that there was suspicious activity in the taxes that the King should have payed more, much more than he payed, as such a formal persecution would follow unless the King payed in full what he owns. Along these two days, most of the coverage would center around this, until it would happen again, in the morning, a video from inside the Palace, slipped away, from the same source. But this time inside the palace, filming through a slightly slid door. Which would blast through the news, enraging even more those who watched.

Slightly-Open-Door.jpg

The video would start, it was night time, with the King yelling incoherently, as the camera approaches we get a glimpse of two people talking, its the King and his Heir again, however obscured by the door, we can see arms and hands flaying. The King is sitting down, meaning the camera can see his face, while the silhouette of his heir can be seen, he was with his back towards the camera.
King: Visibly enraged, red faced, banging with his fist on a table, he would yell clearly "Who took that video? Who the fuck in my house took that video!"
Heir: Shrugging his shoulders "How would I know? I'm in it too! I'm assure you we will find who was it and they will be fired and fucking kicked"

King: "FUCK your assurance, it got out and I want that person taken care off. Have you seen the fallout we have received? Its fucking madness, if they think we are going to abdicate, they can take that idea and shove it. I rather just take full control, total. You know what that's what I'm going to to, I'm going to fi-"

Heir: Filipe would raise his voice and interrupt his father. "Stop it you old loon, that will make things even worse. The protesters are just protesters, you know who is the real culprit? Rafael Cortés, we must find a way to put him down for good, he didn't even bother to arrest those fucks out there. Have you even seen whats out there? I feel like Louis XVI. He is orchestrating all of this for sure, it must be, why doesn't the PRIME MINISTER, support his KING."

King: "He rather support idiots, peasants, the-" He would raise both is index fingers, making quotation marks. "-Citizens, fuck those citizens, and fuck him. I'll do everything in my power to stop this, Am I not the King? Issue the order to the Royal Guards, I want them to disperse the crowd, fire on them if needed. I'm not going to abdicate Filipe, that's certain and if I do it will be over. MY. DEAD. CORPSE!" He would say as he banged his fist so hard on the table that most of whats on top of it would fall down, he would then reach towards a safe out of frame, he would come back with a gun, loading it and looking to Filipe.

Heir: "What are you doing? You're not going to-" He said, afraid.

King: Silently and calmly. "No, what the fuck? What kind of- No. Its for protection, I have to show them who is boss, who is their King, its for safe keeping, if I'm attacked, on my own home, I'll protect myself, aren't you?" He would pass him another gun, to each Filipe would grab.

The video would now be pulled back from the door, muffled cries would be heard, a female voice saying "I- Show this- they gone mad- I have to show this to the Authorities, to the Prime minister, to the damn pope!" The video would cut off.

The video would be played on all news channel, most commentators would be shocked, some wouldn't even speak, their King... had gone mad. But before this would happen, the following happen in the same night, the video was recorded.

440px-Palacio_de_la_Moncloa_%282%29.jpg

(Imagine its at night)
A young lady would reach the Prime Minister office, he would explain herself to the guards and to the her astonishment she would be let in. The Prime Minister himself would be sitting in a sofa, it was late, he had been woken from his bed. He would look towards the lady and say:

"Good night.. have a seat. I'm sorry i'm not in formal wear, I was sleeping, my wife did not take well me waking her up." He would chuckle.

The Lady would visibly shake, and extend a recording to the Prime Minister. "What is this? Why didn't you go to the authorities? Wouldn't it be more appropriate?". She would shake her head, saying no. "You must see it first." He would look at her curiously, he would call for his wife, which would arrive in seconds. "I prefer to see it with you." He would play it, next to his wife, he expression would turn sour...to worried then to shocked. He would walk around the room, sit at his desk, look towards the window, to his wife, and then back at the lady. "You are very brave, and honest. Thank you for showing me this. But, its not mine to keep." He would give the recording back to the lady. "You have to decide what do you want to do with this. Hide it...show it..keep it. It is one of your legacies on this nation. You must decide its fate. Not me. I am but an actor.. in these waves of events, you are... the director." He would grab her hand and say "Thank you." She would be offered food and a hot beverage, a Palace Guard would take her to her home.

After she had left, Rafael would turn to his wife. "Well.. This is.. horrendous." His wife would comfort him, putting both her hands on his shoulders. "Honey, its up to her now, but you need to do something, its time for you to act, to protect the citizens. You saw what he said." He would responde to her softly. "I know.. I know.. I have to think." He would ask his wife to go to bed as she left the room she would wink to him smiling. "If it all goes worng, I guess Jail vists are in order." He would chuckle and say to her to go to bed he would soon follow and she would leave. And now he stood alone, looking at a picture of his father and mother. Then back at the flag in his office.

He would grab the phone, and hold it, thinking, pondering. He would nod and sigh. "Doing nothing would be worse, I have to act. Nothing ventured, nothing gained." And dial his closest ministers, speaking to them what just happen, some would be enraged, other would be shocked and some would try to advise him. After this group call, he would ask all of them to remain quiet about this until tomorrow. As he needed to rest on this issue, cause tomorrow morning, he would phone all the Presidents of the States in Spain to have their support and to inform that the monarchy was no longer defending the citizens of Spain and Spain itself... they were attacking it. And to him, they were defending it and the people.

With the new hidden video being blasted through the news, the people would be revolted, angry and most of all, united. The King had managed in a few days to round up a open revolt all cross Spain, most specifically in Catalonia. Thousands upon thousands of Spanish people, young and old, would be protesting violently against the King and the Monarchy, chants of betrayal, all across Spain would erupt in all major cities. The Region of Catalonia was in open revolt, thousands of people in Barcelona were chanting against the King, the police could do nothing but watch.

While Violent, no major public damage was happening, no looting, no robberies, as if the Spanish people were united in a common goal and a common enemy. As hours went by, the chants of betrayal and abdication would change into forceful removal and a republic. Reporters, while trying their best to report and do their jobs, would find out that support for a presidential republic jumped from a mere 15% to 93% in mere days.

The Biggest demonstration of protesters was outside the Royal Palace, where the Monarchy had barricaded itself with hundreds of Royal Guards. The protesters were getting rowdier...angrier... the guards would continue to fall back in a line, due to the massive amount of people, until it happen. Word would come out from inside the palace, a order, a demand. Disperse the crowds, use non-lethal fire, or even lethal if you must.

The Main Guard commander would hear this through his radio, at first he would start to question the order, but he was the King, and good soldiers follow orders. He would order all of the guard to switch to rubber bullets and tear gas. The Protesters would watch as guns were raised towards them, shocked and fear would disperse, and the Royal Guard would fire towards them, rubber bullets hitting the backs of the protesters, tear gas being thrown out to the masses, people would start running. The Guards would fire indiscriminately, arresting most of the people on the ground. News would pass this police charge live, even some of them being hit. Commentators would be ashamed, angry, sad. Reporters would remain quiet not knowing what to say, until one of them would burst out in anger, like none other journalist had done. "What is happening to this country?! What are we seeing!? Is this a King? Or a Dictator?"

With the riots and the mass open revolts, and the guard charge in the Palace, the Prime Minister had just gotten of the phone with several presidents of the states and all were in agreement, the Monarchy was no longer fit to rule Spain, and preparations would have to start immediately within the current Spanish Constitution, to turn towards a Republican-system, and fast enough to avoid the King dismissing the Government and dissolving the houses. Amends would be drafted fast to turn Spain into a Full Presidential System, taking inspiration from the United States constitution and system. This of course behind close doors, to catch the King unaware.

The Bill would pass quickly in the both houses, in a extraordinary pace, and it would be kept under the rug due to the cloth provided by the King's actions, if a word came out of the bills content, all would be lost, as the King still reserved the right to fire and dissolve the Government and both Houses. Both houses would approve the secret bill unanimously within a day, now all that was left was for a referendum to be held in Spain, but for this the Prime Minister would have to announce it live on television. He would inform all the major new stations that he would be speaking shortly at the end of the day, informing them that he wished to comment on the current events in Spain, the riots and what would be done to bring stability back to Spain. Not mentioning the referendum.

After a few hours, at 20:00pm, all television would be centered on the Prime Minister, he would walk towards the podium where previous Prime Ministers had spoke to the nation. He would begin:

"My dear Spanish friends, there are decades where nothing happens, and there are days where decades happen. For the past few days, the Kingdom of Spain as been in turmoil, but in this turmoil we have found what makes us united, it is our common belief on the rule of law, civility, honesty and perseverance against those who attack us. This is not the first time where our nation as had to face this situations, but one thing that remains constant, is the love we all have for our dear Spain, our dear nation and our dear friends." He would pause and look straight into the camera.

"A few days ago, a report was leaked, tax fraud, where our Monarchy relinquished its duties to this nation and to its people, to pay, what all of us pay. Instead of, uniting and nations, and doing what is right and what is honorable, we have found our King, at the odds with its people. Insulting us, insulting Spain it self and its values. Culminating yesterday, on his, comments regard we, the Spanish people. I can no longer remain quiet or impartial for that is not the right thing to do, as Prime Minister my duties lies first with the Spanish people and the Nation. Not the King or the Monarchy. What his majesty did, goes beyond anything that is civil, goes beyond common sense, and reaches that of megalomania and cynicism." He would pause again.

In his attempt to divide us and humiliate us, he as united a nation against him and against his actions we must act, for the betterment of the nation and its people. As such, we have taken measures to turn a new page in this nation, as this is the will of the people of Spain, a page where no person can stand above the other, where every person is born equal in opportunities and duties. This morning we have managed to pass an ammend, in both houses, unanimously, to turn the Kingdom of Spain into a Federal presidential constitutional republic, the Republic of Spain. But for this a referedum will have to be passed onto you the people of this nation, it is your decision, and its by the hand of the people that we will turn together this page.

Thank you, and may god bless us all."

The news stations across Spain would be shocked at this move, a move that most would thought that the Government did not want to take, nor have the courage to take. Time would tell what the King would do.

The speech made by the Prime Minister, would have managed to cool down the protests in most of the nation, with some pockets and protesters dotted across the nation, some commentators in the television would describe it as a calming presence and the best path to take, and the best action taken, all other options were extinguished the moment the King proved to be unfit to rule a nation, along side most of the monarchy. Now on the Televisions news stations the King managed to pass a statement through his spokesperson noting that; "What this Government is doing is nothing short of a coup against the ruling class of the nation, the videos passed live on the news are nothing more than lies and deception and the order to shot on the protesters outside the Palace came directly from the Royal Guard itself. This as left me no choice but to evoke my right to dismiss and fire the current Government and dissolve the houses, calling on new elections, to remove the traitors to the Kingdom and its King." This comment would be viewed as the King showing his true colors, a authoritarian man, trying to destroy the democratic institutions of the Nation, this statement would be the final nail in the coffin of the Monarchy.

pollingplace_northcarolinavote_110618getty.jpg

But it was far to late of an action by the King, his power was diminished, and with the Bill passing, all that was needed was a referendum to remove him from power and turn Spain into a Republic. Ballots would start to be distributed by the Government all across the nation, with the King being powerless to stop it, his statements would continue to be erratic and maniac, trying to get his Royal Guards to act on him, but all of which would deny the orders as it would be undemocratic and inhumane.

It would take one full day for every citizen to vote on the referendum, which would be as fair and imparcial as possible, with the ballot having two options to choose from, with one abstaining. Agree with the Bill passed in both Houses to establish a Federal presidential constitutional republic, continue with a Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy. Another Ballot would also be provided and thoroughly explained, if choosing a federal presidential constitutional republic which of the following heads of the current parties should be elected to become the first president of the Republic of Spain being voted by popular vote.

Turn out would be in the millions, much more than a normal election, it was estimated that 90% of the Population turned out to vote on this decision. Another day would pass and the results would come in the early morning of the following day. The will of the people was heard, 92% Voted overwhelmingly to establish a Federal Presidential Constitutional Republic, while 8% to continue as Spain as it stands.
The President of the Republic of Spain would be elected to be the Former Prime Minister, Rafael Cortés, with 91% of votes.

good-news-on-the-phone-video-id146158257
However the hardest part would come, all this would be in vain, if the King didn't accept these results, because Cortés wanted to do things legally and by the book. He would have to call him, from his residence, to talk sense into the man. He would grab his phone and ring the Palace. It would be picked up.

"What do you want." A firm voice, filled with knifes and hatred. It was the King.

"What is best for Spain" Rafael Cortés would reply. "This past few days, have shown you what your people is capable of, they are not cowards, they are not peasants, they are free citizens. The Will of the peop-" he would be cut off by the King, laughing.

"The will of the people? This was orchestrated by you.. you traitor. From the very beginning... You saught to depose me. To Destroy me!"

Rafael Cortés: "I have not done such things, you are blinded by rage, you dug your own grave by being greedy, by not acting with honor... You ordered to shoot them Carlos. What kinda of King orders his guards to fire on innocents civilians."

King: "THOSE BASTARDS WANTED TO KILL ME! TO DESTROY ME!"

Rafael Cortés: "You had a chance to proof you were a good king with the Tax, if you had just payed, and not flaunted your ego and ways, you would still be king."

King: "The tax? I KNOW it was you who found those documents you sent someone to record me who was it? WHO DID IT ALL? You knew from the very-" He would be cut of by a female voice, coming from behind him saying. "No.. It was me" The King would turn towards the voice, incredulous, shocked. It was his Queen and Wife. "Y-y-you? W-why did you do this? Why would you do this to me my love? What did I do?!" She would answer with tears on her eyes. "I did it because I love you, I did it because you were turning into a another man, one which I never meet, a evil one. You are not like this Carlos! You are not! The power went to your head!" He would grab his chest, and sit back down. "What have I become? What happen to me, when did I turn this way." He would look to the Seal of the Crown, in his desk, he would grab it in rage and throw it into the ground, shattering it. He would wail loudly. "Oh god, why did I do this. What kinda of King am I", his wife would speak still with tears running down her cheeks. "Do the right thing now Carlos... Just do the honorable thing." He would look to her with tears in his eyes. With Rafael Cortés still on the line listening, he would pick up the phone.

"Cortés, please.. My friend. I just want it to be over, I do not know what came over my head." Rafael would reply. "Just do the right thing, accept the will of the people. Let the last action of your reign be a good and honorable one." The King would answer. "I will...you can approve the referendum. I am sorry.".

"Very well, I'm sorry it had to come to this Juan Carlos.."

King: "No... I should be the one to apologize to you... the people... the nation. I will announce it on the news."

Rafael Cortés: "I will then follow up with the establishment of the republic. Good bye."

The news stations would be informed that the King would be speaking to the nation, it was long overdue. The people were angry and demanded justice, commentators would even argue to not let him speak for fear that it would destabilize the nation further. However it would come at the request of President-Elect Rafael Cortés, which would somewhat calm down the fire in the people hearts.

The cameras would be fixed on the King, in his podium, wearing a crown, and a cerimonial garb, alongside him would be the Queen and his Son, also in the same garbs. The King would be visibly shaken, red eyes and exhausted. He would begin to speak.

"Before I start this small statement, let it be know that I do not ask for your forgiveness or compassion, as I fully know well that I do not diserve it for my actions this past week, especially in the last couple of days. I'm here to announce that Spain will need time to heal from my actions. Power is a dangerous thing, power can corrupt, and in this power we can lose our sense of self and our values. I vowed to protect Spain, yet I have failed, I vowed to protect my people, and yet I have failed. I can only face the consequences of my actions, as the last King of this nation, reborn from the ashes of the old. I will face justice, but I shall not fear it, as I know full well that I deserve it to repay my actions.

I can only hope that this is the greatest path, this nation can take, and may it take with a gentlemen at its helm, guided by the will of the people.

Let my last action as King of Spain be a good and honorable one, as such I formally accept the referendum and its results, and I'll step down as Acting Monarch of the Kingdom of Spain, to just a citizen of the Spanish Republic. May this nation live long and prosperous, under the wise hand of the now President of the Republic of Spain, Rafael Cortés.

May God bless this Great Nation and its People. Farewell"

The Feed would end, after a few moments, a new feed would open, it was President-Elect Cortés, on the same podium, but this time with no monarchy symbols, nor flag, it was a transitioning period from Monarchy to Republic, as such it was to respect the past and the present. He would begin speaking.

"My fellow people of Spain, there are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades occur. We have all endured through turbulent times these past few days, but now we create a new page in this nations history, it is the will of the people to replace our system and institutions to reflect a republican style of government, where every citizen is equal to one another, where we all have a voice to be heard, and a nation to defend.
I shall not lie that we all followed this decision with sorrowful hearts and that the next few days will be arduous with the changes to follow but do not let it fill you with dread of what comes next! Let it fill you with hope! Hope that these arduous days will pass, forever marked in our history as the hour where this nation continued on a path to greatness and prosperity!

Let this be the hour where we can continue to do greater and better actions for this new Spain, a Republican Spain, a fully Democratic Spain!
I cannot feel more honored and joy that you, the people of Spain are united, we are all united. And when a nation is united as we are, there is nothing we can't achieve, there is nothing that can't stop it, and there is nothing it will fear!

God Bless Spain and God Bless its People!
VIVA ESPAÑA!"

The feed would slowly fade, with the new Flag of the Republic of Spain, and with the anthem playing in the background. The journalists would report that the new inauguration date would follow in the next couple of days, in order to bestow on the new Administration, executive powers to start modifying its institutions from Monarchy based symbols to Republican Symbols, however historic landmarks and historic symbols would remain, as it is part of the Spanish History.

Inauguration day would come along , to mark the commencement of a new four-year term of the President of the Republic of Spain, alongside the Vice President. It would be the first inauguration of a President, but this year would be taken outside the Royal Palace of Spain, to mark the End of the Monarchy and the beginning of the Republic, it would be symbolic, it was proposed by the President as a last show of respect for such an historic building, for ever to be used as a museum of Spanish History.

Crowds would be gathered outside the curt yard of the Palace, thousands of people would be present, along side hundreds of police, agents of the civil guard to ensure the protection of everyone involved, especially the President. In at either side of the palace courtyard would be two built up bleachers draped in the colors of the new Spain...Red, Yellow and Purple, filled with seats and chairs for important figures in the Republic to attended the inauguration. The air would be filled with music by the Army Band, playing all kinds of Spanish Marches and Songs, until the moment came.

Silence would be made, the President of the Supreme Court would come out of the historic balcony of the Palace, flanked by a small group of important figures of the state and their family, along side the Presidents Family.
He would speak to the microphone. Silence would take hold of the court yard.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm elated to see you all here, to the first Inauguration day, in this historic day. So without further ado, as the new constitution dictates, I call upon the President-Elect of the Republic of Spain."

A small exert of new anthem would play across the courtyard, and the President would exit of the Building, flanked by ceremonial guards, and by cameras watching his every move. As the anthem played he would shake the hands of the people around him, thanking them for being present. After a few seconds he would reach the podium where the President of the Supreme Court would be standing now besides the President-Elect. They would be in front of each other with their sides to the courtyard. The President of the Supreme Court would present a bible and the new constitution for the President to lay his left hand on, as he raised his right one to take the oath of office.

Rafael Cortés: "I do solemnly swear , to faithfully execute the duties of the office of President of the Republic of Spain, support and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Spain, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, protect and respect the rights of its citizens... I shall take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, for this is the will of the people. So help me God."

Applauses would erupt from the audience, and the full anthem would be played across the court yard, with various people congratulating the President, after everyone was settled down and the music stopped, he would approach the microphone.

"My fellow citizens, I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you've bestowed me and this nation, mindful of the sacrifices we must take ahead of us, and in our path to greatness. These past days, our nation as seen the rise of republicanism... and the fall of monarchism, in these few days we have seen what we are capable of, when we are united in common goals, common ideals, and common hearts. Let us not forget our hard these days were for our dear Spain, but know that this as not been the first time our nation as endured such ardous tasks, and still, it stood, proud, defiant against all odds, as we shall also endure against all odds. In our history as a country we have seen countless wars, disasters, turmoils and challenges. But still... we have endured and our people have endured. We are deifying the test of time, that many other civilizations have fail to do, and as long as we are united as we are today, we will continue to stand the test of time.

Today I say to you that the challenges we will face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, my fellow countrymen, they will be meet, with honorable actions and fire in our hearts.

On this day, we gather here because we have chosen hope over anger, unity of purpose over discord. But as we
remain a old nation on this home we call Earth, our strength of spirit is as strong as that of our forebears when they set sail to the new world, discovering new lands far beyond the Pillars of Hercules. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit, to choose our better history, to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea passed on from generation to generation, that God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

We, the Spanish, do not measure our power by the fire of our guns, do not measure it by the robustness of our economy, what we do measure in power, is our UNITY. We leave the Kingdom behind with its history and flaws, and forge a new path, no doubt with its greatness and flaws as other paths. This is the journey we will take today.

There will be some who question the scale of our ambitions, who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. But their memories are short, for they have forgotten what this country has already done, what men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage. And for those who seek to advance their aims against our nation by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken. And we wil endure far longer than you are capable of.

So let us mark this day with remembrance of who we are and how far we have traveled as a nation. Show the World, how a nation united in common purpose following the will of the people, is part of the strongest forces on this good Earth. God's grace upon us, we carried forth these great gift of freedom and unity and delivered it safely to our future generations. God bless this nation, its people and the path we now forge!

VIVA ESPAÑA!"

The crowds would sheer with immense force, applauses would erupt across the court yard as people chanted ESPAÑA like never before, with such love and admiration to their nation strength, honor and unity. Spain was united, Spain would endure the hard days to come. As the colors of it flag flew high in the sky proudly...
