Government of Sweden
Löfven Administration
Dear Zeki Eker,
I write to you to express notice of the final termination of the foreign operation of the Diplomatic Mission to the Republic of Turkey. In accordance with the Vienna Convention (Art. 10 / Art. 45) and the subsequent amendments made by the Global Assembly, please accept this notice as the first of two formal notification according to law. Effective immediately our mission will begin the repatriation of all Swedish nationals within Turkey. As I am sure you are aware under the aforementioned legislation we intend vacate premises, residences and properties protected under such agreement and will maintain the immunities granted to 'diplomatic agents' throughout this period. A secondary notice, as required by law, has been sent by diplomatic mail to your department. Please confirm receipt of this confirmation else we will presume receipt in a reasonable time frame five days from the date of this correspondence.
Civilian airlines conducting operations between Sweden and Turkey as part of their business-as-usual operations have been instructed to begin the repatriation of Swedish nationals immediately. I trust that Turkey will ensure the safe, uninterrupted passage of travel.
On consultation with the Executive Office of the Prime Minister the Republic of Turkey retains the right to operate a diplomatic mission within Sweden - this right will not be revoked and your diplomatic agents retain their legal immunities. This decision has been made with the view to prolong diplomatic avenues with your government during these politically challenging times.
Regards,
Margot Wallström

A physical notice is sent my mail to the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
From the announcement by the Bureau of Foreign Affairs all diplomatic premises within Turkey would begin the necessary termination procedures which would include the destruction of sensitive documentation or any archives which may compromise Swedish national security. The mission would issue emergency passports to those in need and ensure their safe passage via civilian airlines chartered for the evacuation process. This would continue over the next fourteen days and the emergency telephone number provided by the Bureau of European Affairs would remain operational for the foreseeable to assist in the return of all those residing within Turkey that seek return.
Diplomatic staff would also begin moving essential belongings from acquired properties and, along with their families, return to Sweden upon their job role no longer being essential or required for the termination of the mission.
