[1] PREAMBLE
Operation Biotite will focus on clandestine human intelligence operations within the Kingdom of Sweden. Primarily enabling and supporting the infiltration of the currently relaxed Spanish border to secure a base of operations within Continental Europe to permit the growth of the Swedish Intelligence Community. In the first instance campaigns will surround the strategic placement of a human intelligence asset to enable the collection of local intelligence before the movement of couriers, communications experts, support personnel and access agents. Authorisation from the Department of Defence remains at a Top Secret level in line with the Swedish Document Classification and Security Act 1995. Information surrounding this operation is not to be shared with the Nordic Council at this time pending ratification of the Stockholm Treaty.

2. Collate, analyse and report on Spanish operations in a variety of branches and sectors.​

Preparation
This mission was the first of its kind for the Swedish Intelligence Community globally, let alone right on the Swedish door step; Continental Europe. Preparation was key and certainly not part of the operation due to be overlooked or bypassed. The objective was simple for the primary infiltration stages and despite not meeting the James Bond style equipment phase and issuance of gadgets unbeknown to the general public, it was still apart of the deployment that human intelligence officers were excited for. Assignment of a new alias which ranged from a new name, date of birth and nationality all the way to the doctored resume and formal documentation, although, Swedish documents would be slightly too obvious... right? The accent is very broad and distinctive. The cover story had to make sense and it was essential that the Nordic Council were not unwillingly enrolled in an intelligence gathering mission thus the teams within the centre scoured for a similar but distant nation to adopt the unchangeable characteristics of the agent. Estonia.

The agent assigned was assigned alias "Christian Hölsö". This was his first formal deployment. Born on August 6, 1960 he is aged 36 years old and stands at an average height of 5' 11" (180 centimetres) of toned build. Christian has short, military-grade cut brown hair with piercing blue eyes, freckles dotted across the bridge of his nose, a white smile appearing to be from a dentist advertisement and a neatly trimmed beard ageing his face slightly.

Support staff within the Swedish Intelligence Community would now begin the forgery of documentation including passport, official travel documentation, banking documents to make his financial position appear genuine, bank and credit cards, physical and electronic photographs of falsified family and medical insurance. All these various forms of documentation would be made with the most highly skilled personnel in the country, ensuring that key characteristics of any paperwork made them appear used, stored and retained rather than fresh and forged. This even included the dampening of paper and rapid drying to give a slightly musky scent to the documents, masking the smell of the fresh professional print. The passport would be maliciously examined and prepared to ensure key Estonian security features were mimicked perfectly including falsified stamps, tears and general damage to the book itself to give the appearance of wear. It was of course noted from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation website that they had no relationship with the Estonians thus limiting their knowledge on any protocols or have any bilateral link to competent authorities. Spain has no visa system, making the creation of travel documentation only necessary for proof of departure.

Meanwhile technical experts would begin the encryption and of a mobile phone and laptop, making use of publicly-available foreign servers to bypass Spanish data networks allowing a direct and uninterrupted signal to Sweden. All electronic equipment is bugged with microphone and GPS tracking capabilities and are able to accessed remotely for rapid data destruction in the event of a breach. A camera also joins the myriad of equipment.

This was phase one of the preparations due, whilst this was ongoing "Christian" would rehearse a pre-assigned personal file detailing the finite details of his personality that would need to roll off the tongue as if part of his life from birth. There is no room for mistakes.

All preparations are stored securely by the Swedish Intelligence Community should it be required in future - this remains of Top Secret classification and at no point is information released publicly.
