When the news reached the German Reich, the Federal Government of Germany took a collective sigh of relief as the Kaiser congratulated the Taiwanese government. To mark the occasion, the Kaiser invited both heads of state to Berlin for some rest and relaxation after decades of tension were finally washed away.

The Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Teresa Kok Suh Sim would announce Malaysia's intention on recognising the new-found Republic of Taiwan with the Chinese Government now establishing its ties and recognition of an independent Taiwan. An Embassy will be established in Taipei in due course and Taiwan would be invited to establish one in Kuala Lumpur.
