Dear Minister Onwuliri,

As a fellow African country, we feel that it is vital that we establish formal diplomatic relations; working alongside eachother to further progress our own nations and the African continent.

We believe that the opening of flight routes and shipping routes between Nigeria and Tanzania should be the first step to achiving a close economic and political relationship. I propose that flight routes between the Tanzanian cities of Dodoma, Dar es Salaam and Mwanza, and the Nigerian cities of Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kano are established. Alongside this, shipping routes between Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Mtwara and Tanga in Tanzania, and Lagos, Lekki and Port Harcourt in Nigeria.

I hope that you can agree to this proposal. We can see both our countries developing a close relation. I wil look forward for your reply.

Sincerely,

Augustine Mahiga
Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation
United Republic of Tanzania

Greetings! We are most excited to hear the news of the formation of your government in Tanzania and are most elated with the news that you are interested in strong bilateral relations between our two peoples. We would be most happy to expand the air routes between our two nations, however we would suggest the addition of routes to Abuja. This is the Nigerian Capital after all. As for bilateral relations, a strong Africa is most important for the success of our two nations and together we can bring our continent forward. We are most hopeful that Tanzania will send athletes to participate in the summer Olympic games in 2013 in Nigeria, as strong showing from Africa is most important.

Dear Minister Onwuliri,

We are glad to hear Nigeria's willingness to cooperate and construct a strong relationship with Tanzania. The addition of Abuja to the flight routes would only be beneficial and we of course agree to it.
We would certainly like to take part in the Olympic games, as your right, it would show a strong African continent. However, due to a lack of professional sportsmen and a lack of finance due to domestic priorities, I'm afraid that Tanzania won't be able to participate in the Nigerian Olympics, although we very much appreciate the invitation.

Sincerely,

Augustine Mahiga

We are pleased with the addition of these flights to the flights in planning and look forward to the increased travel and unity between our two people. We believe that a strong Africa must be lead by Africans and as the wealthiest nation on the continent we feel it is our responsibility to lead the way. On that front we would like to note that we would be happy to cover the cost of travel and lodging for the Tanzanian Olympic team. Given Tanzania's history of Olympic achievement we believe it vital you are represented at the historic first games in Africa.
