Dear Mr. Naftali Bennett and Mr. Mesut Yilmaz,

I would like to reach out to you both, as ultimately a third-party in your conflict, to hold a peace summit in Hobart, Tasmania. I have not brought this up with the Federal Government and I do not intend to. As a Premier of a state of Australia I have the unique privilege of approving visa's for people deemed sponsored by the state government. As such I sponsor you both to come to Tasmania and essentially by pass the federal government's border controls. It is ultimately my perogative if I wish to invite world leaders to Tasmania and they do not have any say over it, just over immigration issues which I can easily sort out with the privileges afforded to me. The official host venue will be Government House in Hobart, where you will be welcomed by the Governor of Tasmania. It is my desire to see a peaceful settlement in the Middle East and to stop the bloodshed of many people, ultimately some may be Tasmanians serving in the Australian Defence Force.

Yours sincerely,
The Honourable Jim Bacon, MP.

Recipient: The Honourable Jim Bacon, MP, Premier of Tasmania, Commonwealth of Australia (Owen)

I would like to thank you for your correspondence, it is my aim to avoid a war with Turkey as the Middle East as well as the world as a whole does not need another war. I have already submitted a request to the Republic of Turkey and the Palestinian National Authority as the issue also involves them. Although we have yet to hear back from either government, we are hopeful that in the coming days ahead we will hear from regional countries including Turkey and Palestine to avoid another war in our region and to protect people from across both of our countries.

Best Regards,
Naftali Bennett
Prime Minister of Israel

Sender: Mesut Yilmaz, President of Turkey

Subject: Tasmanian Summit

Recipient: Honourable Jim Bacon, MP, Premier of Tasmania, Commonwealth of Australia, Owen
Thank you for your invitation to this summit on the behalf of the People of Turkey Mr. Bacon. I have already talked to my council ministers and it has been approved, except by the Deputy Prime Minister, to go ahead with any summit as long as it allows for the cooperation and peaceful negotiations between all parties involved. I do understand though that the Australian government is currently deploying a large naval force to the eastern Mediterranean but I hope that this does not affect anything whatsoever but if the Australian government continues it current course and we find that Australian Vessels are in the Eastern Mediterranean then we will promptly have to withdrawal from these talks. Your Summit will hopefully de-escalate a already tense situation and encourage some of my fellow politicians to rethink their current trajectory in regards to the conflict as it stands. Please Send details to the my deputy minister of foreign affairs, Mr. Cem who will arrange everything further contact and details regarding my trip.

Thank you,
Mesut Yilmaz

Meanwhile, preparations would be made for the Turkish President to arrive at Hobart International Airport. Australian Federal Police would up patrols around the airport, scanning for bombs and other threats. In the Hobart city centre, Tasmania Police would up their patrols around the city centre, begin preparations for stake outs around Government House and Parliament House and would lock down areas around Hobart to restrict access to the general public. Reservists from the Royal Tasmania Regiment would also join in on the security patrols when they become available in 3 days from Anglesea Barracks which is just down the road from Parliament House.

Parliament House Restricted Zone

Government House Restricted Zone

The Tasmania Police Special Operations Group in its entirety would be deployed to both sites, 15 officers at Government House and 15 officers at Parliament House and surrounds.

It would be quite cold in Tasmania still in early spring, temperatures would barely nudged above 11 degrees celsius so the two leaders were told to rug up. Snowfall was still a near daily occurrence on Mount Wellington and the surrounding mountains of Hobart and indeed, some suburbs of Hobart.

Naftali Bennett would board an Airbus A310 MRTT from Tel Nof Air Force Base, he was to be joined on the visit to Australia by newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Tzipi Livni who was making her first visit abroad as a newly appointed member of the cabinet. It was a tactical decision made by the Prime Minister as she was one of Israel's leading voices in support of a two-state solution. A number of aides and advisors from the Prime Minister's Office also travelled with the delegation alongside a number of Shin Bet close protection agents, totalling fifteen who were responsible for protecting high-value individuals.

The aircraft would take a route east and would head on a course of KM > LM > ML > NK > OJ > OI > OH before touching down at Cocos (Keeling) Islands Airport to replenish with supplies and fuel before continuing onto Hobart Airport via OH > PG > QF > QE where they would touch down safely before taxiing to an awaiting parking stand.

The delegation would head to the assigned hotel given by the Tasmanian Government and would scout through paperwork given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as they awaited for the Turkish to land and for the go ahead for the meeting to begin.

As Naftali Bennett and Tzipi Livni arrived at Hobart International Airport, the Premier Jim Bacon and Governor William Cox would be there to welcome them both as the stairwell attached the aircraft.

"Shalom, Mr. Bennett.... Ms. Livni. Welcome to Tasmania." He would escort them into waiting Holden Caprices of the Tasmanian Government.

The Tasmania Police would provide a full escort. There would be several motorcycles blocking roads as the car travelled down the Tasman Highway, across the Tasman Bridge and into the centre of Hobart.

They would be sent to Government House for an official reception with the Governor in the drawing room and to also show them their rooms, as they had been allocated guest bedrooms in Government House. Two grand portraits of King George the V and Queen Mary of Teck would adorn the wall inside the drawing room.

After the reception the Tasmania Police Pipe Band would perform for them in the forecourt, playing the march of the Tasmania Police: Cock O' the North. The Israelis would probably start to feel like they actually arrived in Scotland or the United Kingdom with all the pipes and drums and royalty they were surrounded with, not to mention the cold and rainy weather. They would await the arrival of the Turkish.

The President’s Plane approaching Hobart Airport
President Yılmaz would make the necessary preparations along with his aides and the Minister of Defense, Hulusi Akar For the coming trip. He would alert the Grand National Assembly privately of the summit and the National Security Council in order to ensure upmost security on the trip, especially since the Australian Government was actively sending vessels to the Eastern Medditeranean and the fact that there could be numerous foreign intelligence agencies present. The MIT(NIO) would secure all communications regarding the upcoming trip and it was decided that the Presidential Modified Airbus A340-541 would depart overnight with all staff and security. The President would board with 8 OKK Special Forces infiltration agents disguised as regular staffers who would accompany the president everywhere he went. In addition 12 TRRT anti terror airborne infantry would board the plane as official security for the president and other aides.

The Aircraft would take off from Ankara Esenboga Airport late at night and escorted by 2 F-5 Tiger IIIs armed with 2 AIM-9 Sidewinders and fully loaded M39A2 cannons from Merzifon AFB. The Air Defense Network MIM-104 Patriot Missile Systems would be on high alert in active areas under the flight path of the A340. Once the A340 left Turkish Airspace the F-5s would break off and return to base while the A340 would take a direct flight to Tasmania making no stops.

The flight path would be from KM>LM>LL>ML>NL>NK>NJ>NI>OI>OG>PG>PF>QF>QE and the aircraft would just be in range of Tasmania to make a standard landing without incident. Once Touching down in Hobart the Aircraft would taxi to the designated parking zone and await the arrival of the Australian delegation who would escort them to wherever their itinerary would dictate.

As Mesut Yilmaz arrived at Hobart International Airport, the Premier Jim Bacon would be there to welcome him as the stairwell attached the aircraft.

"Salaam Alikum, Mr. Yilmaz.

He would be sent to Government House for an official reception with the Governor William Cox in the drawing room and to also show them their rooms, as they had been allocated guest bedrooms in Government House. The Turkish President would receive a traditional Tasmanian Aboriginal smoking ceremony in the forecourt of Government House.

Afterwards they woud gather for a state dinner in the dining room of Government House, the Israeli Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister would be brought down from their guest rooms. The Turkish President and Israeli leaders would sit across from each other at the table, whilst the Governor and Premier occupied the centre of the table. Other seats would be filled by other Tasmanian Government Ministers, the Commissioner of Police, the Commander (Lieutenant Colonel) and Regimental Sergeant Major of the Royal Tasmania Regiment and prominent Tasmanian businessmen.

Jim Bacon would rise and give a speech.

"Distinguished guests, ladies and gentleman...

ya pulingina milaythina mana-mapali-tu.

I would like to first start off by saying that we gather today on the lands of the Mouheneenner clan of the Palawa people, the traditional owners of Tasmania. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and we pay respects to their elders, past, present and future.

We are gathered here today because we in the Tasmanian Government decided that little was being done. That tempers were running wild and as a third party we could potentially bring a close to this issue. We're here because we all have a respect for human life, for peace and prosperity and to avoid the dark past that has haunted the Middle East. We want to avoid anymore darkness. I want us to remember that the people we are concerned about most are not present here in this room... the Palestinian people. We must keep them in the forefront of our minds when we are to make any decisions about the Middle East. What is it that they want? Would they want war or would they want to find a more peaceful solution to the issues they face? I have a sneaking suspicion it is the latter. They have suffered enough and they do not need to suffer anymore so that is why I am hopeful we can be successful here in Hobart.

Please enjoy your dinner and we will now hear the national anthems of Australia, Turkey and Israel be played by the Royal Tasmanian Regiment Band.

Whilst the federal government was not a party to these talks, they nevertheless would take a keen interest on what was happening in Hobart. In order to bolster security, especially since the Turkish brought a contingent of armed special forces into the country, the federal government would deploy the 2nd Commando Company of the 1st Commando Regiment from Melbourne, south to Hobart to be housed at Anglesea Barracks temporarily to bolster the security presence in Tasmania. There would be a total of 250 Special Forces sent down to Hobart. The entire reserve battalion the 12th/40th Battalion, Royal Tasmania Regiment would be called up for active duty as well, also based out of Anglesea Barracks. Meanwhile in complete secrecy and without the knowledge of the Tasmanian Government, the Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation would begin for clandestine operations out of their Hobart Office in order to spy on both the Turkish President and the Israeli leaders. In total there were 50 officers at the disposal of ASIO from the Hobart Office. Agents would be sent out to monitor the movements of the leaders around Hobart as they went to official functions. They would also use binoculars to spy on their movements within the grounds of Government House. Using listening devices and equipment, vans would be parked nearby Government House to listen into conversations occurring inside. All telephone calls originating from inside the premises of Government House on both landlines and mobiles would be intercepted, as per agreements between Telstra and the federal government to monitor phonecalls.

The Israeli Prime Minister speaks into his microphone, a thick accent is heard across the room as he speaks.

"Premier Bacon, Governor Cox, Ladies and Gentlemen. It is a pleasure to be here in Australia and I thank you for hosting these talks between the State of Israel and the Republic of Turkey. We can safely say that Israel does not want war and I have a sneaky suspicion that the Turkish President does not want war for his people, for his armed forces and to protect the Turkish economy which currently sits at over minus thirty billions dollars in debt.

Turkish Media reported the mass movement of Turkish vessels into the Eastern Mediterranean which ties in within moving towards the State of Israel and the Saudi Arabian Government have stated in a private meeting with our Australian counterparts that they are participating in conducting an upcoming arms embargo against the State of Israel. I'm willing to defend my country until the day I die but I would rather a peaceful end to these tensions Mister President.

We can agree to work in union between the State of Israel and the Republic of Turkey, I stated in a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Bahçeli about developing infrastructure within the State of Palestine. We have wrote to your government as well as the Palestinian National Authority to coordinate a meeting between our governments, we want this to work for our region which is why we have stated in the meeting that we will coordinate with a fourth country to provide security for the duration of talks.

We have recognised the State of Palestine as an independent country in the past few months and it has been an independent country since 1967 with the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa mosque remaining under Palestinian control. I'm willing to put that into a written agreement which will be published to the world and our country will be scrutinised under that agreement if any future governments decide to break it. I have brought with me Deputy Prime Minister Tzipi Livni who is a leading voice on affairs relating to a two-state solution."

Prime Minister Yilmaz would respond in a Turkish English Accent to Mr. Bacon, he was not very fluent in English and some sentences would be inccorrect or run ons.

”Well, Mr. Bacon, I’m not quite sure what to toast to at the moment because I have to be honest I don’t believe these talks will go anywhere unfortunately. To reply to Mr. Bennett, to the best of my knowledge Indeed there were some naval movements but from what I’m told this was only a preparedness test for potiental aggression against Turkey, I mean, we haven’t even deployed our own Navy in Training Exercises as of now and as you all see it’s been well over a month since this reporting and nothing has occurred that would lead to aggression against Israel. Additionally I hear of these “reports” about Saudi Arabia leaking “Classified” military data and this is simply untrue, I’ve spoken to my Defense Ministry and they say that Saudi Arabia and Turkey are conducting a joint military exercise. I think this is a massive miscommunication and while I will of course want great and more prosperous relations with Israel I can’t think as to what I can do to help. I will admit that I am a bit out of the loop with domestic affairs and to be honest I don’t know if all of the information provided to myself is entirely accurate, this may be because I was a member of the opposition ANAP party before the former president was thrown out and the Nationalist party is becoming suspicious of my motives.

Here’s the underlying issue that is creating our present issue and great tensions, the Nationalist movement party has been spending an unprecedented amount of money on weaponry for a conflict that right now does not exist and this has driven my nation into debt never seen before since the Russian Economic Crisis and now in order to shore up support for the party they blame our issues on Israel. This is their key strength to stay in power and unfortunately I believe that they are trying desperately to create some sort of conflict between the two of us but I so far have stopped further Aggression.

Additionally Mr. Bennett, your nation has been also spending massive amounts of money publicly on military equipment which is adding fuel to the fire because the MHP sees this as a way to show to the population that Israel is going to attack Turkey and her Arab Allies. Not to mention I‘ve heard…”. (A Diplomatic aide would whisper into the President‘s ear)

“I’m afraid I need to make an urgent phone call back home, please excuse me for a moment.“

Assuming the Australians allowed it, the President would go into a secure room with two security guards and his aide to make the phone-call back to Ankara. He would use an AG telecar CD since they didn’t trust the landlines the Australians had and the other phone available was on the plane. They would not realize that the Australians were monitoring mobile calls too.
He would speak in Turkish

”President Yilmaz speaking”

”This is Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Akar speaking, I need to inform you on the sudden developments at home if you are in a private area, the situation in regards to Occlude and the Vice President has gone from bad to worse I’m afraid sir.”

The President would wave to the security detail and Aide to leave.

“I’m on a secure line, go ahead.“

”First of all the Vice President and the Nationalist are beginning to turn on you sir, they have begun to run propaganda on the Radio and televisions across country about you so called allegiance to Israel and the Westerners. Bahçeli Has even been bold enough to state on the Hüryet that he will run against you in an emergency special election since he of course is in charge of the ruling party. There have also been protesters outside the presidential compound demanding that you step down and dismiss the opposition entirely which is clearly against the constitution but at this point the Supreme court simply does what the MHP wants. Furthermore the Vice President is holding an international summit in istanbul at this very moment in order to create an defensive military alliance that surely will ensure that foreign intervention in Operation Occlude and Eastern Direction is negligible and that a full invasion of the State of Palestine is guaranteed following strikes on Israel via Airfields that the Saudis have allowed us to use and the Clemenceau Carriers. I suggest that you make haste and report back to Ankara ASAP, otherwise you will be forced out and unable to govern and take control of the situation, additionally we need to contact the Saudis to make sure they do not begin an Intervention in Israel, Minister Eker has already gotten them to believe that we are ready for an imminent invasion and they’ve shared with us plans for a rocket strike on key Israeli Infrastructure.”

“This is absolutely shocking Hulusi, I never thought the MHP could take control just like that even without a full majority in the GNA, I mean are the social democrats even trying to challenge this?”

“I’m afraid not, they are scared of retribution from the security council or the Grey wolves who have been terrorizing the Kurdish into electing Nationalist Turks in the South East furthering their power. In all honesty I think that we may need to begin preparations for you to exit the country along with the some of the other ANAP party reps, but it needs to be discreet and agreed with by the MHP, otherwise they will make it their goal to eliminate you as a western capitalist pig, I've already arranged several commercial flights out of Istanbul at the moment to the UAE, they seem to be more keen on supporting the Israelis at this stage.”

“I understand, but I would rather stay in the nation to regain support for the democrats after the inevitable fall of the Nationalists even if I am not in political power, it would be a symbol that the MHP hasn't completely oppressed all other parties. Also, how did you acquire this info? I'm sure they wouldn't just send it all to you since you’re a motherland party member, are there any allies you think we can trust within the MHP?”

“It’s part of the MIT Security briefing, it looks like they overlooked my security status and I still have my L4- clearance even though I'm not the head of foreign affairs now, speaking of which the MIT has begun searching through your files in the compound for possibly incriminating information that they could use against you in the emergency election, I saw a ZPT and several agents at your house just two days ago along with military dogs for potential illegal substances. Anyway get back here so we can discuss this further and make sure nobody else knows the nature of this conversation, we can’t have this going public and causing massive alarm worldwide as I'm sure you know. Good luck.”

“Good luck to you too, I'll see you in Ankara tomorrow.”

President Yilmaz would re-enter the room.

”Thank you for your patience gentlemen, it’s been very busy back home. By the way Mr. Bacon, this meal is just excellent, a real staple of Australian decency, yes?”

Naftali Bennett would listen to the response given by the Turkish President, taking notes down to refer back to later on in the meeting if needed. He nodded along with what the Turkish President was saying before he spoke into the microphone.

"I thank you for your remarks Mister President, we have had to take reports very seriously as would any government if they were in this situation. The threat of a military blockade has sent shockwaves through the Israel Defence Force. Israel has been spending money on military equipment to defend our country if attacked hypothetically by the Republic of Turkey and her allies. We want to preserve the lives of many Jews across our country. Your country is over 50 billion dollars in debt and not only is this a devastating blow for your country, it could spiral out of control at any given moment like the Russian economic crisis effected the European region. You say you want more prosperous relations with our country, do the right thing Mister President and come together today to commit to standing down your forces for now and to sign a non-aggression pact which will see the reduction of tensions between our two countries and see cooperation in various areas such as science, technology, education & economic affairs."

With the Turkish President leaving the room to conduct other affairs, Naftali Bennett turned to Tzipi Livni to convene on affairs relating to the summit and believed that Turkey may change ideas. He spoke in Hebrew to his counterpart as they looked through various notes.

"I think that President Yilmaz may see sense sooner or later, his country is plunging into debt. We have the support from various countries and hopefully he won't want to put his country even further into debt by deploying forces. Let's see what he says when he comes back."

Tzipi nodded along with what Naftali was saying as they awaited his return to the room before they indulged into their food.

ASIO would ensure that it was monitoring the phone call being made by the Turkish Prime Minister. It would be fully recorded and the audio would be sent back to ASIO Headquarters in Canberra and then onwards to the Office of National Intelligence and straight to the National Security Committee of Cabinet. As Prime Minister Yilmaz came back the Premier would say something.

"You both need to pull your heads in, you don't come to a peace summit all guns blazing. This isn't even the time to have discussions or bring up issues, it was supposed to be a dinner and I asked you both to give a toast and hope for the best but you've both come in pointing fingers already. Just enjoy the fucking meal."

The Premier would eat his meal.

"Just lovely isn't it?"

Upon finish eating the Premier and Governor would float around for post-dinner drinks in the common room. As it began to get late, the Governor would retire to his bedroom in Government House. The Premier would head home and the guests of honour would be shown to their guest bedrooms in Government House to sleep for the night.

The Turkish Delegation would do the same privately overnight due to the recent political and natural crisisis that have struck the nation recently, also in part because of the disgusting food offered by the Australians and their rude language. The Australians would be notified after the Turkish vehicles had arrived at the airport and the presidential aircraft was on the runway where it would take off after clearance and make a one way trip to Ankara.
