Minister Dubois,

I hope the newly appointed minister delegates in the pursuit of the new Foreign Policy of your Ministry have been well-received.

I am reaching out to you today with the hope of further strengthening the bilateral ties between the Republic of Thailand and the Empire of France. Despite the polarized governance approach in our country, it has been proven that the poetic phase of the relationship between the "Empire" and the "Republic" is built on the platform of mutual respect and understanding.

I want to request a personal audience with you at your office at your most convenient time. I wish to discuss, on behalf of the Thai Government, regarding the implementation of the Harmonious Accord between Thailand and France, and our countries' approach to Africa and the Middle East.

I understand that a concern regarding the recent escalation in Southeast Asia might exist, but I reassure you that the situation has been dramatically de-escalated. Thailand has now resumed its commitment to the Pax Thailandia Policy and the national law of the "Southeast Asia Security and Stability Act."

Thank you for considering this correspondence. I have an optimistic look that this meeting will make our bilateral relationship more fruitful.

Yours in Diplomacy,

Mr. Tana Weskosith
Thai Ambassador to France
Republic of Thailand

Empire de France
Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères

From: Sophie Dubois, Ministre de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères, France
To: Ambassador Tana Weskosith, Thai Embassy in Paris
Classification: Confidential

Subject: Improved Relations

Your Excellency,

First, I can only agree with your assessment that despite surface-level incompatibilities the friendship between the French and Thai states over these past few months has been beyond even the most optimistic expectations. The Empire of France is very much willing to discuss the next stage in our joint relations and as such I do hereby invite you to the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

Once there in addition to discussing the relationship between our states and peoples, I will also happily discuss any other matter including the Middle East and South-East Asia. My assistant will coordinate the exact meeting time with your embassy so we can meet as soon as both of us can fit it in.

Sincerely,
Sophie Dubois,
Ministre de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères,

Ambassador Tana Weskosith, a man devoted to manifold duties, held his heart in unwavering allegiance to one soul – his cherished French fiancée. At the age of 29, Tana, like his betrothed, was often perceived on the international stage as a young, green ambassador. However, his tenure at the Republic Thai Embassy in Paris stretched back to 1998, when he was a mere 24. It was a stroke of fate that on his inaugural day in France, a 23-year-old lady named Sophie – a name echoing the popular choice for newborns in 1975 – entered the embassy, distraught over her rejected Thai visa for an impending birthday celebration.

Tana, the archetypical average-looking man who harbored youthful infatuations for the school's popular girls back in Thailand, had always harbored a deep affection for France, its culture, and its enchanting inhabitants. At that moment, as his heart raced in Sophie's presence, he found himself compelled to extend every possible assistance, guided by an inexplicable pull towards her.

Tana: "Excusez-moi, mademoiselle, puis-je vous aider en quelque chose ?" (English: "Excuse me, miss, is there anything I could help you with?")

Sophie: "C'est 'quelque chose', pas 'quelque choseuh'." (English: "It's 'quelque chose', not 'quelque choseuh'.")

Tana found himself momentarily disconcerted by the girl's gentle correction of his French pronunciation, a subtle reminder of the language's fluid elegance. In a reflexive gesture, his hand almost lifted in surprise, and he felt a faint trace of perspiration, a physical testament to his momentary unease.

Sophie: "Et qui êtes-vous, au juste ? Qui est le responsable ici ? Je veux lui parler !" (English: "And who exactly are you? Who is the boss here? I want to talk to them!")

Tana: "Je suis désolé, je viens d'arriver. C'est mon premier jour. Je suis le chef de mission de l'Ambassade de la République Thaïlandaise à Paris." (English: "I'm sorry, I just got here. It's my first day. I'm the head of mission of the Republic Thai Embassy in Paris.")

Sophie's pupils widened, a visible sign of her disbelief taking form. She surveyed Tana from head to toe, her arms defiantly set akimbo. Drawing a deep breath, she puffed her cheeks slightly, her body language radiating a mix of displeasure and incredulity.

Sophie: "De toute façon, vous êtes étranger, n'est-ce pas, mais aussi le responsable ici. Alors, aidez-moi vite à obtenir mon visa ! Mon anniversaire est précisément la semaine prochaine."

(English: "Anyway, you are a foreigner, right, but also the boss here. So quickly help me get my visa! My birthday is precisely next week.")

That was their first interaction with many more. Before they could realize it, they had already formed a connection

The Thai Ambassador would travel to the Foreign Ministry of France and follow the guidance there.

Having previously been authorized to enter the Ministry Tana would be allowed in by the Azure Guard after simply presenting his diplomatic credentials. Once inside two Azure Guard officers would escort him to Sophie's office, both to make sure he got to the right office in the large complex and to make sure he didn't get into any sensitive areas of the Ministry.

Once at the Office the Azure Guard at the door would let him in at which point his escort departed. The only people inside the Office would be Sophie, an aide to type the minutes of the meeting and two staff members to provide the Minister or the Ambassador refreshments, and now of course the Thai Ambassador himself.

"Monsieur l'ambassadeur, a pleasure to see you again" She said as she rose from her chair and approached Tana to shake his hand. Prior to his arrival Sophie had been briefed on the Israeli report accusing Thailand of espionage, and then similar reports from Poland, confirmation from Thailand and multiple other incidents related to these, but for now she would not give any indication. These were some of the many topics that would undoubtedly have to be brought up during the likely to be long meeting.

Offering a handshake, "The pleasure is all mine, Your Excellency." He smiled and accepted the refreshment before sitting down with the French Minister.

"I believe you have heard about the data leak by the Thai Government. Would it be something you fancy to address the elephant in this room first?" His voice was calm and warm, trying his best to ensure the lightheartedness of the discussion. If the Minister agreed, he would excuse to speak first.

"Thank you for letting me speak. First of all, I recognize that the French Empire and Israel are in a mutual defense treaty. This is a good sign for a more stable and peaceful world. I want to reassure your government and the Her Imperial Majesty Empress herself, that the Thai Government does not have any malicious intent toward Israel. The Thai Prime Minister is expected to make his first state visit to Israel if things go smoothly. We hope that our proactive approach to active and open communication can alleviate any tension." He would sip his drink.

"Second, I want to reassure you that the data leak was not aimed at endangering any Israeli personnel. As you can see on the media, we only captured a small amount of the Israeli vessel and no Israeli personnel was in sight. It was intended to reaffirm that Israel is exercising its rights within territorial water against the intelligence operation against Israel. Also, the purpose of such a data leak was to ensure that the general population knew about what was happening. The Polish vessels have been in front of the Israeli territorial water for so long that even I know it." He paused.

"Is there anything else you wish to discuss about this first before we begin our meeting? I want to ensure we enter the discussion with no concern about external factors."
