In a spirit of cooperation and recognition of Thailand's obligations under its compensation package to the Russian Federation, we are reaching out to your esteemed Ministry to inquire about the Polish acquisition of Russian equipment. Thailand understands the sensitivity and complexities surrounding the enforcement and validity of Russian equipment intellectual property rights on the international stage, which differ significantly from its domestic legal framework with limited jurisdiction. Recognizing that the enforcement of military technology in another sovereign nation's jurisdiction is intricate and often contingent upon bilateral or multilateral agreements, we seek to gain insights into the perspective of the Russian administration on this matter.
The Kingdom of Poland holds a distinguished status as a valued partner and defensive ally of the Republic of Thailand. Our shared commitment lies in fostering peaceful and equitable global dynamics through diplomatic engagement, mutual respect, understanding, and goodwill. In light of Thailand's assumption of responsibility for addressing corruption issues related to unauthorized sales of Russian equipment, we are morally compelled to ensure that such occurrences are prevented in the future. Moreover, if the Russian administration explores avenues to enforce its intellectual property rights on the international stage, we offer non-binding advice rooted in goodwill. Our earnest desire is to witness all nations, whether allies or otherwise, engage with one another with mutual respect and understanding, recognizing that no state holds privilege over another.
