Minister Yakış,

I hope that the recent destabilization of the Middle East has been managed well in your country. Please inform me if your nation needs any assistance to evacuate the Turkish population in Israel or Palestine.

Giving the proximity of Turkey to the area of Israel-Palestine crisis, I believe that your office has been informed of this situation. I apologize for our delay in addressing this predication to Turkey during our general election.

The Israeli Government has passed a legislation to abolish the recognition of two-state solution which has been a cornerstone of peace talk in the region for decades. This revocation of Palestine authority is nothing but a threat to the regional stability of a nation already volatile and shattered from a major war in 2001. Turkey, as our close ally in the region and a host country of our Armed Forces Middle East Command, we hope that your government would join us to scrutinize Israel unilateral decision.

Thailand has been devoting itself to the cause of democratic governance and human rights, which, frankly, can dub our country as a World Power of moral high ground. From our two countries’ diplomatic discussions, those are the value we hold dearly as a progressive nation.

The Middle East is a tinderbox, where any escalation of hostilities could have a far-reaching repercussion to the peace, stability, and security of our entire world. I am calling the Turkish Government to support and promote the international scrutinization of this unilateral decision by Israel, which has undermined the law of self-determination, a foundation of human rights.

I thank you for considering my request and I will be waiting for your reply.

Yours in Diplomacy

Dear Minister Sathirathai,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to express my gratitude for your thoughtful email and your genuine concern for the situation in the Middle East. Turkey greatly values its diplomatic relations with Thailand and appreciates your commitment to democratic governance and human rights, which we also consider essential in fostering peace and stability in our world.

I understand your concerns regarding Israel's recent decision to abolish the recognition of the two-state solution, and I want to assure you that Turkey has been closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East. We share your concerns about the potential implications of this decision on regional stability and security, and we appreciate your call for international scrutiny.

Turkey believes that a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should be based on international law, respect for the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people, and the principle of the two-state solution. We are committed to supporting efforts that lead to a comprehensive and lasting peace in the region. We will engage in diplomatic discussions and work with our international partners to address the situation.

Our government recognizes the importance of multilateral diplomacy and the need for a coordinated approach to address the challenges in the Middle East. We appreciate your call for international scrutiny, and we will continue to work with like-minded nations to promote dialogue and peaceful solutions in the region.

As always, we remain committed to the principles of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. We are dedicated to fostering cooperation and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond.

Thank you once again for your letter and your unwavering commitment to diplomacy and international cooperation. We look forward to continued collaboration with the Republic of Thailand on matters of mutual concern and shared values.

Yours in Diplomacy,

Yaşar Yakış
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Republic of Türkiye
