The Duda Family (The Big Three)

Roleplaying as Poland
Jul 1, 2018
The Duda Family, known as 'the Big Three' by many in Poland, is the current Presidential Family of Poland (PFoP). The family consists of Andrzej Duda, the current President of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, the First Lady of Poland, and Kinga Duda, the First Daughter of Poland.
The following is considered canon, although it is written from an OOC point of view. All of this is subject to change, much as a person's views on the world constantly changes. As such, this is constantly a work in progress.

Andrzej Sebastian Duda

President of the Third Unitary Republic of Poland

Andrzej is the fourth President of the Unitary Republic of Poland, and began his five year term, renewable once, in August of 2011. This means that the next presidential elections are to take place no later than 11 November, 2016. He is often referred to as "Wcielenie Józefa Piłsudskiego", or "the Incarnation of Józef Piłsudski", a famous Interwar Polish statesman. He has been named this likely due to his charming character, and his patriotic views on his own country.

Andrzej was born in Kraków, Poland, on 16 May, 1972. He was raised in the city, and had a rather easy life at home. From a young age, Andrzej proved to be quite intelligent. He wrote his first novel by the age of 13. He spoke English, Polish, and some Russian by the age of 16. His family owned two dogs, Józef and Tadeusz. Both dogs were German shepherds. Now, Andrzej owns another German shepherd, named Józef the Great, after his former dog. After his early/middle childhood, Andrzej attended Jan III Sobieski High School, in Kraków. He performed very well, achieving a high grade in his first, second, and fourth years of secondary school. Following his secondary school years, Andrzej then went on to study Law at the Jagiellonian University, also in Kraków. He received a PhD in Law, which he still holds to this day, placed above his desk at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. Since 2006, Andrzej has since ceased his scholarship activities due, in part, to his political career ambitions.

As for Andrzej's hobbies and the like, he is fond of skiing. In secondary school, he was part of the Alpine Skiing Team, where he managed to take first place on two occasions. Andrzej is also an avid sailor and civilian pilot. On many occasions he has flown military aircraft, and is a certified small aircraft pilot. He loves sailing, especially in the Baltic Sea, where the water is cooler and the waves less choppy.

Andrzej belongs to the Polish Catholic Church, and was raised from an early age upon the values of Roman Catholicism. His biggest goal is to visit the Vatican with his wife and daughter, and meet the Pope. He is hopeful for a Catholic Europe, yet skeptical of a unified Europe.

Politically, Andrzej's ideals nearly directly line up with those of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice), which is a right-wing soft populist party, with nationalistic ideas and plans to prevent illegal border crossings and migrations. Andrzej has been a member of PiS since 2005, 4 years after the party was founded by the duo, being Lech and Jarosław Kaczyński. After Andrzej's rise to political power, he has since declared himself an Independent, although he retains close ties with both brothers and PiS officials. Andrzej is a traditional man, with his mind set on traditionalist ideals, such as traditional female roles, keeping Poland pure, and dismissing liberal ideas.

Socially, Andrzej is very active. He has many friends, most political, but some apolitical. Agata and Andrzej have had a very stable marriage, with the birth of Kinga drawing them closer. Before Andrzej's presidency, things at home were calm, everybody got along very well. Andrzej took kindly to his daughter, however, Agata was the driving factor to what Kinga is today, both morally and politically, as any mother would be.

Close to Andrzej, friend-wise, anyways, is the Kaczyński brothers. They share a close friendship, ever since Andrzej entered the vast realm of politics. The three are often seen together in public, during political events, and in their free time.

In today's world, Andrzej is supportive of Italy, Sweden, Iran, Russia, Malta and the Vatican, and, to some extent, China. Britain, Argentina, and Pakistan have been a constant pain in the ass to Poland's development, in his eyes. Nonetheless, as much as he sees those three as a burden to Poland's development, he plans on furthering relations with them.[/i]
