Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic
The Uzbek SSR is a country located in Central Asia under a Communist Government led by Islam Karimov. Gaining their independence from the USSR during 1991 the Uzbek Confederation was immediately embroiled in turmoil and civil war as republican forces attempted to establish control over the region communist forces would push back against the new nation. This instability led to a breakdown of control as communist and republican forces began fighting over the country leading to a 2 year long civil war where by the end the Uzbek SSR would be reestablished as a fully independent country. Uzbekistan would spend the next couple of years solidifying its control over the region. After the 1999 “Uzbek Purges” The majority of the government was controlled by the “Qizil Koalitsiya”. As Uzbekistan begins to modernize in this century they have long been diplomatically isolated. With modernization policies failing, an aging military and backwards economy. The Uzbek situation seems dier there is one saving grace the quantity of minerals in the country; Gold, Silver, Iron, Copper and Zinc all can be found in Uzbekistan if the modern equipment could be made and found Uzbekistan has the opportunity to become a regional powerhouse.
All of these ventures are futile for now. For now Uzbekistan simply needs to survive.
