Air Force Force of the Republic of Turkey

Navy of the Republic of Turkey
Army of the Republic of Turkey

Top Secret/Secure Information
Operation Background

After a 387-213 vote in the GNA, it has been decided that a ”Quarantine“ of the State of Israel is the best option for Turkey in Order to achieve the goal of Palestinian Rights, the Abandonment of Settlement, and the long term elimination of the State of Israel. While sudden, this act was deemed necessary by the newly ruling ultranationalist MHP party that achieved as small majority over the ANAP party within the GNA. Prime Mininister Yilmaz has taken effective control of the government when he sided with the MHP after a deal to prevent the collapse of the National Assemby and lead to a possible coup after less than decade. The MHP Representative, Devlet Bahçeli stated that “Israel is amassing its army of evil and that Turkey must act Now”. These events are sudden and unexpected for most Turks but after the massive rise in crime, collapse of the Turkish Economy due to massive defense spending and little national income, along with the temporary closure of the Suez to Turkish Vessels it was expected that there would be a massive political shift throughout Turkey. Now, with the most recent vote the Grand National Assembly has authorized the National Security Council to Deploy 3/4 of the Entire Turkish naval Fleet in Order to Completely surround the Israeli Coastline and prevent Aircraft from flying in a new ”Restriction Zone” around the Israeli waters. The quarantine will extend to all State Shipping, Military Vessels, and weapons deliveries in order to cripple the western based Israeli Armed Forces. All Shipments of Non-essential supplies will be blocked and vessels that decide to disregard this order will be sunk. The Israeli Economy will crumble from the blockade and the Middle East will consume the fraudulent state, with the likely support of the Egyptian and Saudi Governments. It is expected that the two nations will join Turkey and assist in the blockade of Israeli waters as well. Preliminary intelligence Suggests a very weak Israeli Navy and AIr force that will certainly not be able to make any action against the massive Turkish NAvy Blockade that will surround the Nation. It is expected by Military strategists that the American, British, and Polish Navies may respond to a potential “act of Agression”. This has already been planned and over 3 billion in spending was passed by the MHP earlier in the month to acquire new Coastal Defense Weaponry capable of Eliminating any potential opposition. These weapons will be demonstrated within the next 2 days of the start of the blockade in order to “scare” the rival navies away from the Mediterranean, especially since American and British Carriers will be much more exposed in the Waters near Israel. An immediate Arab Emergency Meeting has been called in Istanbul as well in order to discuss the participation of fellow Arab Nations.

The National Air Defense system is now fully operational, along with over 38 long range radar systems positioned across the southern coast and the Syrian Border. The Turkish Air Force is now fully equipped and ready for combat. The Turkish Navy recently completed and received over 20 Frigates and 30 Patrol vessels that will be deployed in newly structured fleets. The 2 Clemenceau Class Aircraft Carriers, TCG Ankara, and TCG Anadolu will be held back with an escort of 2 corvettes and a Frigate that will be detailed below.

Within Hours of Operation occulude being announced the National Intelligence Agency Alert level increased to alert Level AS2 and the Ballistic Missile Operation System would be immediately alerted so that all ground based Missiles would be ready for launch within 15 minutes of any order.

Thousands of Turkish Sailors at the two largest Turkish Naval Bases, Aksaz Naval Base and Gölcük Naval Base would begin preparations for the deployment of 54 Surface Vessels, more than any previous operation or exercise in Turkey’s or recent history, in fact no such naval deployment had been conducted since the times of the Ottoman Empire, 81 years ago. Both Aircraft Carriers, TCG Ankara and TCG Anadolu were Priority in the the early deployment stage, harrier jump Jets would begin their departure from Ankara IATA fully fueled but not yet armed and would begin their flights to both Carriers in Aksaz Naval Base where they would land and then be armed with all necessary weaponry. Meanwhile the 5th “Phantom“ Squadron of Bandirma AFB would also be fulled and configured for the carriers. The pilots were not trained as Naval pilots unfortunately but it was simulated within flight school during their training so it would not be completely new to them. The F-4 Phantoms would then take off in a practice double V formation and set en route for the carriers, also the aircraft would not be loaded with weaponry but ready so that all hard points could be equipped on the carrier.

The designated command vessel for the entire operation would be TCG Ankara, under command of the esteemed Admiral Salim Dervişoğlu who would oversee the entire operation with input from National Security Command in Ankara. The primary fighting force of the Mission would be the 7 Yi Sunsin-Class Destroyers currently being loaded with necessary provisions for the journey and its primary weapons, the South Korean built vessels would carry in total, 224 Hyunmoo-3A Cruise missiles which were capable of countering any rival vessel including the American Missile Cruisers. Sone vessels would also carry helicopters in order to transport personnel from vessel to vessel and scout surrounding areas to make sure that no vessel could possibly get through the blockade. Other vessels would be loaded and fulled to depart Within the next 2 days as discreetly as possible so that the Israelis would have no notice until the actual vessels are right outside their territorial waters. All vessel commanders would be notified that while vessels are fully loaded and ready for Combat that this should be ly a last resort/response to any action made by Israel. The standard doctrine to block vessels is to initially radio the vessel, then begin to switch course or alert a nearby Turkish naval vessel to switch course and then finally to block the vessel by getting to a point where the opposing vessel cannot continue forward due to the Turkish vessel being in the way. If ramming is necessary it will be done, though preferably warning shots should be made beforehand. If all else fails and the opposing vessel tries to ram, fire at, or evade the blockade then shots will be fired, starting with small arms and ending with an anti ship missiles via Sea Harrier or nearby ship if the vessel continues non compliance.

Air Force Aircraft should be readied at their respective air bases for patrols within the next 48(IC) hours, only around 12 combat aircraft should make patrols at a time, while AWACS aircraft should rotate at a point where at least one aircraft is always within the restriction zone, monitoring the Area. Orion Patrol Aircraft are to have regular patrols where At least 2/4 aircraft are monitoring the restriction zone, with special attention to the East Portion, near Israeli Airspace and Waters. Aircraft are currently being Fueled and readied for regular patrols. Egypt is to be notified that Turkish vessels do not pose a threat to Egyptian Shipping and the Saudi Navy will be notified of the events and asked to participate if they so wish. An official declaration will occur shortly after the successful emplacement of the Turkish-Israeli Restriction Zone.

The following craft will not be able to entire the Zone:
  1. Israeli Flagged Civilian Vessels carrying non-essential supplies(Essential includes food, Medicine, water, other supplies necessary for a human being to live). Essential Vessels will be checked and allowed through while non essential will be turned around.
  2. Israeli Flagged Military Vessels of Any Kind
  3. Vessels carrying weapons of any kind to Israel
  4. Israeli Commercial Aircraft(Escort then turn away, warning shots, fire using light ballistics weapon, fire Air to Air Missiles or SAM on aircraft.)
  5. Israeli Military Aircraft(Escort then turn away, warning shots, fire using light ballistics weapon, fire Air to Air Missiles or SAM on aircraft.)
  6. Other Civilian Flagged Vessels going to the State of Israel.
  7. Non-Israeli Military Vessels attempting to challenge Turkish Safety Zone.
  8. Civilian Aircraft entering Israeli Airspace(Do not fire upon unless threat)
  9. Non-Israeli Flagged Military Aircraft attempting to challenge Turkish Safety Zone(Do not fire upon unless threat)
  10. Any other mode of transportation deemed to be prohibited from entering the safety zone by the National Security Council.

MEKO 200 Frigates leaving port en route to 35.640625 | 30.177863
After a month of extensive and secretive preparation for Operation Occlude all vessels, aircraft, and weapons systems had been loaded, armed, and prepared for immediate departure from home ports. Command would signal all systems go and the mass movement of large surface craft starting with the departure of Carrier Strike Group one from Gölcük Naval Base would commence with TCG Ankara readied to take immediate command of the strike group and forward operations. Admiral Özden Örnek would command TCG Ankara as the vessel departed from Gölcük without much fanfare under the escort of two KAAN-29 Class Coast guard vessels that had been diverted from regular duties to ensure the vessel left port secure. The three Yi Sunsin-Class Destroyers would then depart with assistance from naval command tugs and guided out of port to link up with the Carrier just outside port. This would follow with the various escort vessels which would leave port in an orderly fashion one at a time. All aircraft on the Destroyers and TCG Ankara would be secure and below deck except for 6 F-4 Phantom II lined up next to each other And in view of any civilians on shore who may or may not post their findings on the internet or local news sources.
The Same process would go on at all other naval bases with all vessels fully fueled and readied as stated. All vessels except Carrier Strike Group 2 would meet at location 35.640625 | 30.177863 in an organized mannear following a standard American naval fleet formation consisting of Frigates and Attack Craft maintaining their distance around the convoy while the Clemenceau, Dokdo AS, and Akar class vessel would maintain a safe distance from other craft. Patrol vessels would deploy and stay close to the Akar Class Replenishment vessels and other large vessels after leaving their respective bases on mainland Tureky. Carrier Strike Group Two would proceed south-south east at 30 knots 4 hours before the main fleet containing carrier strike group one, Mediterranean Strike Group 4, and Patrol Craft command. The 2nd carrier group would arrive at coordinates 32.436912 | 33.96789 and begin making way to the group patrol/response zone. This would be followed up by the main fleet 4 hours later that would meet at the same location as the 2nd carrier group before beginning to split up Into designated command groups, the vessels would have an 1-2 hour voyage to their patrol zones. This movement would be concealed as much as possible and radar would monitor for civilian vessels nearby to avoid immediate confrontation before all preparations are complete where the vessels could then be impounded or turned around. Summary of Naval Deployment thus far: All Command groups fully armed and loaded have arrived at coordinates 32.436912 | 33.96789 and are beginning their journey to designated patrol zones. Low tonnage patrol craft have also broken from the group and are approaching the coastal patrol zone outside Israeli waters at 32 knots and are commanded by MEKO 200 Frigate TCG Marmaris.

Aircraft have also been armed, fueled, and transported to designated airbases for assignment and patrol. Air command has given the OK for the 16th Air command squadron to take off in order to patrol KM/Coastal patrol zone A. The 2 Embraer 145 AEW&C would take off from Diyarbakir AFB after preflight checks on all systems, they would take off on separate runways simultaneously and begin their flight to the patrol zone Promptly and follow a flight path within Turkish and International Airspace. Midway through the flight, the Erieye radar systems mounted above the fuselage of the aircraft would be activated and turned to sea surveillance mode In order to detect if any civilian or military Israeli vessels were nearby the immediate vicinity of the deployment region. The four Lockheed AP-3C Orion would also be readied within Diyarbakir AFB for immediate deployment after preliminary surveillance.
Saudi Arabia and Egypt would be Notified of this movement and all details.

With the threats displayed in the media by Saudi Arabian and Turkish forces, the Israeli Navy has deployed three Sa'ar 5-class corvettes out of Ashdod Naval Base which included the INS Eilat, INS Lahav and the INS Hanit which had been fully loaded and fueled up for deployment into Israeli territorial waters. Personnel on board the ships would be hard at work, radars had been turned on to search for any seabourne and aerial threats which could be further passed up the chain of command onto allied forces. The three ships would mobilise in square KM between 31°46'25.1"N 34°34'42.6"E and 32°08'18.0"N 34°42'17.4"E. The weapons, personnel and locations of the ships would remain classified and only those involved in the operation would know about details.

In private, the Israeli Air Force would also put personnel on maximum readiness with General Dynamics F-16D "Barak" Fighting Falcons and McDonnell Douglas F-15D "Baz" Eagles fully fueled up ready to deploy at a moments notice. Weaponry would also be housed near the aircraft in a safe manner to attach to the aircraft depending on the mission when they needed to be deployed. Personnel would remain in quarters near their assigned aircraft to ensure maximum speed is given to deploy to their assigned missions.

With the King of Italy secretly incapacitated due to an extensive treatment of chemotherapy, the mantle of government fell to his heir, the young Prince, Antonio di Savoy. With the saber-rattling conducted in a region where Italy had numerous interests, an emergency cabinet meeting was not only warranted, but necessary. There were guesses as to the stance of the Prince, but only his closest confidante and friend in the government, the Minister of Education Madam Dr. Susana Trentini, knew.

After all, she was his tutor growing up and the one who taught him the famous words:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

The meeting was done in secret, but the outcome of it was quite clear by the end to the entire Cabinet as to what the stance of Italy was. When push came to shove, Israel was not to stand alone.
