British Army

Establishment of Royal Artillery Regiments with a focus on air defence using new anti air systems.

Retirement of all 300 Saxon Protected Patrol Vehicles.

Re-homing of a Battle Group to the Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus to oversee peacekeeping and as a result of the recent conflict with Turkey.

Investigation into vehicle ranges to provide a protected patrol vehicle to support ground forces.​

Royal Air Force

Combat Air capacity will grow in the coming years that will see the retirement of the Tornado ADV F3, replaced by the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Decommissioning of two AC-130U aircraft which will see No. 123 Squadron, B Flight, retired and reorganized into another squadron.

Introduction of the AgustaWestland AW101 'Merlin' helicopters into RAF service with an initial order of 22.

Purchasing of 4 more C-17 Globemasters and reorganization of Squadrons by merging squadrons into 3 flights.

Complement No. 232 Squadron, C Flight, with an additional Boeing Chinook HC2.

Procurement of protected patrol and support vehicles for the Royal Air Force Regiment.

Retirement of 12 AgustaWestland Puma Helicopters, placing No. 44 Squadron as a new AW101 Merlin Squadron.

Restructure of the Royal Air Force Regiment.​

Her Majesty's Naval Service

Acquisition of amphibious ground vehicles to support the Royal Marines, replacing the Land Rover Wolf WMIK.

Retirement of the Scimitar-class and reducing Offshore Raiding Crafts to 60, replacing with a new fast attack patrol craft.

Supplying the Air Defence Troop with their own surface-to-air missile systems.

Establishment of the Littoral Response Group which will serve to deploy marines internationally at a moments notice, in support of Carrier Strike Groups.

Restructure of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary which will include organisation and positioning.

Marines to receive 100 Oshkosh Wheeled Support Tankers and 200 Leyland DAF (DROPS) from the British Army.​
