XI. PRELIMINARYX
The Economic Downfall in Europe has raised concerns across the British Government for a chance of increased military activity in relation to risks to national security. To act as a high readiness unit, the latest Type 23 Frigate, HMS Devonshire, has been instructed to deploy and be available for operations globally.

An evaluation of the Royal Navy's standing operations concluded with the cancellation of the Mediterranean Patrol Tasking. With an intent to carry out other patrol tasking, HMS Devonshire was stood down from preparing for it's deployment at sea and crews were advised that other taskings may be given in due course depending on the operational requirements for one of the latest Type 23 Frigates. Naturally, this decision has allowed the crew to spend more time with their family and conduct internal training and drills to ensure that they remain capable of deploying anywhere at a moments notice.
