We understand your company is important to our Russian brothers and we have read the public statement issued by RusAr.
We appreciate your attempts to make amends but we cannot accept this apology yet.
Regardless of intent, Ukrainian products were produced without our consent. Regardless of intent, you have undermined Ukraine’s sovereignty. What’s more, this infringement has damaged our relations with our Russian brothers considerably. A verbal apology is kind, but it does not fix these things which are most precious to us.
Additionally, we still do not know where our products went, the exact quantities produced, or the price at which they were sold. This leaves the door open to further issues. We require this information and respectfully ask you disclose it.
We are not a satellite state. We are not an Oblast. And, as much as we adore our brothers, we are not Russian. We would like our rights as an independent and legitimate country to be respected.
As a final note, we respectfully request that you inform your PR team not to issue statements on “the” Ukraine again. Just as you would not say “the Argentina” there is no article necessary when speaking about Ukraine. Ukraine is not a region within a larger state like the Amazon or the Pampas. We are our own state. Either “the Republic of Ukraine” or simply “Ukraine” would suffice.
