FROM: Rear Admiral Brent Goodman, Commander of The Office of Naval Intelligence
Good afternoon,
Very Respectfully,
Brent Goodman
Rear Admiral USN, Commander of The Office of Naval Intelligence
Good afternoon,
The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) has advised the Secretary of The Navy to put American Navy and Marine Corps forces stationed in the Pacific on a heightened state of alert after the Thai Prime Minister publicly made a series of threatening remarks directed at the United States. The remarks were regarding communism and mentions of an "ideological war" with Thailand on one side, and the United States and other free market partners and allies on the other side. At this time, it is unclear what has provoked this kind of response from the Thai Prime Minister. United States Navy and Marine Corps forces stationed and/or deployed in the Pacific and Indian Ocean will maintain an increased level of readiness around any Thai military forces, and I am formally advising your respective navies to do the same.
Very Respectfully,
Brent Goodman
Rear Admiral USN, Commander of The Office of Naval Intelligence
