CONTEXT
President Sinclair would soon be on a trip to France to meet with the French President and to attend the remembrance of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy in France. While the United States Air Force made its own preparations for the President's visit to France, the Navy took the opportunity to stretch its legs and make its first carrier deployment in some time. Carrier Strike Group Four made preparations to get under away and to potentially operate primarily in the English Channel, and more specifically the Baie de Seine (Bay of the Seine). The bay was both historic (considering the remembrance of D-Day) and also strategic (considering its proximity to where the President would likely be travelling in France, and to Paris). Aboard the USS William J. Clinton were four Delta Force Troops, though their presence in the fleet was kept secret even from most of those aboard the carrier.
