Good evening, I hope that you and your family are doing well. I am contacting you to ascertain what the stance is of Ethiopia's government is on what appear to be attacks from the Imperial State of The Congo on the Republic of The Congo. From the information I have been presented, it appears that there has been significant loss of human life in the past days of fighting. Is there any information that your government would be willing to share with us, and does your government need any kind of assistance at this time?

We thank you for your message. We have been following the current events unfolding in Central Africa with great concern, specially considering the economic instability that could arise in the region as a consequence of the geopolitical turmoil and the obvious cost of human lifes.​ ​ His Excellency the Emperor of the Congo was conducting an official state visit and in a private meeting with Prime Minister Abyi Ahmed when the news of the conflict came in. Obviously said meeting and visit was suspended and the Emperor left for his country immediatly.​ ​ Regarding our official stance, following our current foreign policy doctrine, we will remain neutral in the conflict, not supporting any of the involved sides and calling for a cease of hostilities and resolution through diplomatic means. ​ ​ Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. ​ Respectfully, Demeke Mekonnen Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Addis Ababa​
