China would sadly not be participating in the exercise due to an unforeseen situation in its armed forced, it would however thank the USA for the invite and would wish that the exercise goes as smoothly as possible.

The Philippines would be requested, if they do wish to take part, to send any deployment list to the United States so accommodation can be made for any ships, aircraft and personnel.

With China not taking part, Taiwan (@Sumit) would be invited to take part in their place.

The Argentine Navy would privately respond, that after conduct a series of inquiries with the Military Command and the Government, they have been cleared to take part of the exercise in a secondary role. Naval assets affected to this exercise will be confirmed once further details about the maneuvers would be released.

Vietnam would privately respond that they accept the invitation to RIMPAC and that they look forward to taking part in it should the US go forward with it. Should this be gone forward with the United States is urged to send confirmation at first notice. @John

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are honoured to have been invited to such a prestigious exercise. With our nations being closely allied we see no reason to decline an opportunity to have our forces exercise together. I am pleased to inform you the Netherlands will be deploying the following assets:

- Zr. Ms. Evertzen De Zeven Provinciën-class Frigate
- Jacob van Heemskerck Karel Doorman-class Joint (Logistics) Support Ship

We patiently await further information regarding the exercise.

Now that every nation invited had responded, those who were taking part in the exercise were sent a notice asking them to deploy their vessels and any other military equipment to Joint Base Pearl Harbour–Hickam at the earliest possible convenience. In the note there would also be a small list of plans for the exercise, including: Various sporting activities, Air Operations Training, Close Naval combat situations, Naval assault situations. This would of course not be the full list, the full plans were to be discussed amongst officers from all other nations when the arrive.
