[VC] Letter to the King of Italy

Pope Julius IV would pen a letter to the Italian king in his fluent Italian,

"My child,

There is a matter of great importance that I would like to bring before you. I will be at my palace in Castel Gandolfo for the week. Come visit me when you have the time.

The time has come for the papacy to exert temporal power once again. With the Global Assembly losing sway, the creation of an international corps of men to protect the Catholic world from destruction - at it's own hands and the hands of a sinful world - is, I believe, paramount.

I would wish to discuss this further with you, as the Vatican's closest and most stalwart ally. To give this new force a home in Italy with Vatican citizenship under the Lateran Treaties.

Please give thought to this. The future of the church is in our hands.

With Paternal Affection,
Pope Julius IV"

The letter would be sealed with wax, stamped with the Pope's piscean ring, and hand-delivered to the office of the king by a Papal courier who would insist that the letter be for the king's eyes only.

The King would personally walk the distance from the Quirinal Palace to the Vatican City, wearing a service dress uniform and carrying with him a personal gift to the Holy See, consisting of an ornate, decorated sword with several bible verses and Latin quotations.

A message would be sent, concurrently to his departure from the Quirinal Palace, informing the Holy Father of his departure and prompt arrival at the Vatican. The king would be without any guards, but would carry his sidearm: a Beretta APX chambered in .40 S&W.
