Government Formed:
"Following a lengthy and difficult rebuild process, the temporary government has dissolved and been replaced by a new permanent government. This following the dissolve of the Trotsky inspired government after multiple scandals lead to a referendum to return to the form of government present prior to the formation of the SPDRI. The newly elected President Do has chosen Phạm Vân Sơn to be their Vice President and Prime Minister Hoàng Xuân Cao has taken their office. In the national assembly the CPV hold 425 seats, SG holds 43 Seats, and Independents hold 32 seats. The newly settled in government has vowed to repair the damaged Presidential Palace as it is marked as a site of extreme importance. The Presidential Palace was damaged by a tank during a propaganda effort. However, government officials have not commented on the idea of inviting the former Prince back into the country. An idea that was put forward during the referendum, but many experts have concluded they would unlikely wish to come back for the shame of what their family did in subservience to the French."

Military Parade Announced:
"With the establishment of a new permanent government, it has been announced that a Military Parade will be held in one week from now. Streets will be closed two hours prior to the parade and so it is advised for people to plan ahead should they need to travel through the city. The route will be posted on our website, and it is advised all interesting in viewing the parade check it out. The parade will take a route from Noi Bai International Airport to Mỹ Đình National Stadium. The 1st Corps - Binh đoàn Quyết thắng will be in charge of the event being the local unit in Hanoi."

Naval Infantry and Paratrooper Tryouts Announced:
"Following the announcement of the parade military officials have announced tryouts for two new units. There is to be the formation of a Naval infantry division and Paratrooper Division. Previous special forces commandos took responsibility for the duties of both unit types. However dedicated units are now required and they offer better pay then Militia, Foot Infantry, Motorized Infantry, and Mechanized Infantry. With the announcement of tryouts comes the announcement of a procurement program. The military has put it out there that they are looking for contracts to acquire specialized equipment for both Naval infantry and Paratroops. All willing suppliers are to be informed to contact the Ministry of Defense Directly"

Friedrich IV Announcement:
"On December 10th Friedrich IV posted on his verified Twitter account intents of unification with the country of Hungary. A move that has Vietnamese Diplomats concerned and theorizing the full meaning behind the tweet. Historically Austria and Hungary have had a joint relationship. However, the German nation was never joined with Hungary and so it leaves experts scratching their heads. Some experts believe that this means an intent to not only merge with Hungary but to also take Austria in the process. This would be a German proclamation of the ownership of Austria Hungary's legacy and thus would require both nations. While this notion is worrisome experts claim that so far the proposed idea is for a peaceful merger and it is noted in the tags that it calls for European cooperation. This is an idea that is directly linked to the long-defunct EU and thus could be a revival of the organization. Many believe a united Europe would be able to avoid tragedies such as what occurred during the Battle for Europe."

Protests in Tokyo:
"It has come to light recently that anti-communists have begun to protest in Tokyo against the current communist government in Japan. A country that has had an antagonistic relationship with communism in past Japan will without a doubt experience some bumps in the road. However, government officials in Vietnam believe that Japan has taken the correct step forward. With the PRC back in power and a newly communist Japan, many believe that this is the signs that an alliance could be on the horizon. But some government officials have been dismissive of this notion, pointing out economic systems do not guarantee friendship."

Thai Border?
"Reports have come in of gunfire at the border between Laos and Thailand after a Squad of troops from the Vietnam Border Defence Force were sent to investigate reports of armed border crossers at Ban Vangtao Nok and to look into the state of the Chong Mek Customs Office. Initial reports suggest that the Squad of Border troops were harassed by a Thai helicopter gunship which crossed into Laotian airspace before dropping a group of Thai Special Forces. It has been confirmed that they then crossed the border and attempted to take the Border Troops hostage. Their brave leader refused and was then opened fire upon initiating an ongoing firefight. The Thai proceeded to dispatch a motorized detachment of unknown size into the area with such speed that it is speculated that they had been preparing for a border crossing. This accompanied by the flight of several Thai ground support craft which has so far stayed out of Vietnamese airspace. Lieutenant General Phan Hữu Bảo has commented that this situation was perpetuated by the Thai on the grounds of a previous border conflict between Laos and Thailand. They believe that the imperialistic Thai will attempt to make a forced border adjustment. However, he has stated that the military is acting quickly to respond to this unsolicited aggression. When asked what his plans were he stated 'No comment' which displays the seriousness of the situation."

"As a result of the current conflict the Hanoi military parade has been cancelled however it has been stated that normal diplomatic proceedings will go on as. Questions about the military equipment acquisition program have been raised in light of the current border engagement as well. Whether it will be stalled or go on is up in the air as the status of it has yet to be commented on by the military."
