Greetings,

I am writing to invite you to a meeting or summit to discuss the reforming of ASEAN under an ASEAN+ model. This recreated ASEAN would hopefully include Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam with the + members being Korea, and Australia. A primary focus of ASEAN besides it's previous goals before disbanding would be the development of ASEAN members. To bring developing countries to the status of developed and to work together to bring economic prosperity to all members.

At this meeting we would discuss this, and whether or not to bring ASEAN back as it was or to make changes. This meeting will take place in Hanoi on the 30th. If you have any questions do not hesitate to reply to this email with said questions.

Thanks,

From: Nguyễn Mạnh Cầm; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Dear Minister Cầm

Before the Australian Administration can agree to attend the summit, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) needs more information on such topics. Please send over as much information over, so that myself & my department can review before choosing to attend such meeting. I look forward to a reply from yourself or someone from your administration.

Dear Minister,

I cordially thank you for the invitation to participate in the ASEAN+ discussions and look forward to the efforts to bring back and restore ASEAN. ASEAN has been a pillar of Asian cooperation and economic integration. Acting as the table upon which Asian countries from across the continent can gather and discuss meaningful economic and trade issues.

I look forward to attending the summit and how Vietnam seeks to reform the institution. I hope that our relevant finance ministers may also be in attendance for economic discussions on the blocs reformation and laying the ground work for further summits.

Signed with sincerity,
Baek Jeonghee

Being prepped for the meeting Noi Bai International Airport would have the proper accommodations made. At all times four parking spots would be kept open. Various government officials and ministers would be ready to attend the arrival ceremony. More then that, Hanoi Capital City Special High Command would deploy it's three Motorized Rifle Companys to act as security. Securing both the airport and the route. A convoy of UAZ vans would be fueled and readied to transport the oncoming guests. Trần Đức Lương, Nông Đức Mạnh, Lê Vĩnh Tân, Nguyễn Sinh Hùng, and Võ Hồng Phúc would be ready to welcome to guests. A camera crew on standby to record the arrival of guests. With that the clear was given for invited countries to arrive.

Dear Mr. Nguyen,

We would like to accept the invitation for the summit on ASEAN+ if that is alright with you. The previous government clearly neglected our responsibilities towards Asia and I can tell you now that this government sees Asia as paramount to our foreign policy and we wish to develop deeper ties with our Asian neighbours. The ASEAN+ model is a fantastic way of doing that and we wish to take part in it. Please let me know further the details.

Yours sincerely,
Dr. Carmen Lawrence.

Greetings,

Thank you for writing me about your renewed interest in the ASEAN+ Model. While it seems that the meeting it drawing to close you are welcome to come despite this. The idea for ASEAN+ is for it to have more equal power and sway with the main ASEAN. That way we can more closely work together, and also effect positive change through this cooperation. There are many problems facing Asia and by extension neighboring regions that we believe can only be solved through cooperation. Such issues like the looming Y2K bug next year. Or the fact that we wish to increase development in Asia as a whole so that we may keep up with the rest of the world.
