"Likewise, France has many territories scattered across the Pacific. Argentine ships are currently sitting outside New Caledonia as they already had an air raid siren go off allegedly. We will not allow Argentine forces to capture any French or Dutch or whoevers territory it is in the Pacific. No way are they getting a foothold to launch attacks on Australia. They've taken islands in the Indian Ocean but they're so small and uninhabited that they couldn't be used as a launching pad without serious infrastructure investment. New Caledonia has the infrastructure and the population ready for an Argentine operation against Australia. As I'm aware, our Defence Force is currently readying itself for a deployment to the South Pacific..."

Linh would study her nails. They were stained with red paint from the incense. She flicked chips of it off.

"The Argentinian military is strong but their generals are ignorant and foolhardy. They grow overconfident and overextend, and when they go up against an enemy that they underestimate, they go overcautious and afraid to strike. They threw the dice down and the numbers, while at first looked in their favor, are quickly turning against them. I expect that any leverage they have in negotiations for a peace treaty with France is rapidly diminishing. The time to strike at them and provide pressure is now. A quick amount of pressure in the right area with one hand and a hand out for peace with the other. I find that in the coming days, we may very well see it that the islands in the Indian Ocean will go back to France very soon if France... and by extension, us, by the negotiation game very carefully. 6,000 Vietnamese Airborne are waiting for the green light to make the jump onto Alexandria. What goes for your plan of deployment?"

"We want to harness our extensive Surveillance and Intelligence collection capabilities to monitor the Argentine Forces in the Pacific and Indian Oceans and to basically may them feel pressured, but having an all-watching eye on their movements. We're also ready to deploy Special Forces into the "Dutch" territories to show that very capable and well-trained Australian forces are on those islands and if you touch it you will be met with hellfire. I was thinking of telling the Defence Minister to let our F-111's buzz the Argentine ships, but do you think that might be a bit too far? I'm not sure the Prime Minister would approve that anyway."

"I'm not quite certain what is too far at this point, Minister," Linh would say carefully. "The Argentinians have to tread very slowly and very cautiously from here on out if they wish to be successful and survive to 2015 relatively intact. They are on the balance beam of diplomacy attempting to get across. All it takes is for a few nations to simply give them a little... push in one direction and they will tumble in the abyss. Pressure, no matter how minute, if given in the right spot can break down walls. The CIS has shown me fairly little evidence that they will rush into the abyss after their allies, no matter from what I can tell. China sits on it's hands. Thailand watches the situation with horror. Brazil does... what it does."

She'd grimace, having her own relationship with the Brazilian Ambassador to the GA.

"But, they are letting Argentina fight this battle with France out alone. I wonder, if a sudden death blow could be given to Argentina... perhaps the sudden loss of confidence in the organization, from Argentina to it's allies, and from it's allies to Argentina, would lead to a collapse in the organization. We have all these fears of the CIS. Why don't we end the issue now?"

"Well if you can end CIS quietly and without making too much of a ruckus, I would be open to that idea and would love to hear your suggestions. As we speak, Defence HQ is readying itself for a surveillance and patrol operation throughout the South Pacific and South Indian Oceans to monitor the situation and "assert" our dominance in the region if you will. Australia has lived in this region for a long time in peace. We're not going to let Argentina come in and screw it up for us. This is Australia's region, we need to re-affirm out commitment to our Pacific neighbours."

"Well, I-..." Linh would make to respond but something would catch her eye. She'd turn to the door to the temple, seeing a young girl with an incense stick clasped between her fingers. She'd watch the young girl bow to the Tomb and place the incense stick in a holder. Linh would watch silently then would look back at the Minister.

"Madam Minister," She'd cock her head. "I think that the time of finding an end to this fight without making too much of a ruckus is... at an end. France and Argentina are in armed conflict with each other. I am taken aback to a time in the 1930s, when Japan spread like a cancer along Southeast Asia. I see that here in this day and age with Argentina. A province in Egypt? Islands in the Pacific? The Carribean? Where will they stop before they envelop us all? The time to strike at them and end the threat of the Argentinians is now. A decisive naval battle to protect our posterity and ensure that a second coming of the Japanese Empire does not happen."

"Well we are not ready to strike Argentina, but if you wish you may proceed with that action. We currently have fleets moving towards New Caledonia and Kerguelen Islands and aircraft are readying themselves for deployment as well. This will be strictly a surveillance and patrol operation to monitor the movements of Argentine vessels. We do not believe it is many and we wish to keep it that way. If Argentina quickly built up its forces in the region then we would be concerned. From what I know, they're a bit tied up with mainland France so they might redirect their forces and attention towards there. If Vietnam wishes to contribute to our operations in any way please let me know."

Returning to the safety of the Office, Linh would pour a cup of tea.

"Unfortuantely, we're sandwiched... Madam Minister. China is 200 miles that way," She'd point to the Northern side of the room. "Where four divisions of Vietnamese soldiers stand ready to defend the Republic against a billion Chinese soldiers. That way," She'd point to the western side of the room. "Lies Thailand. Granted... they're both countries we can fight, but not countries that we're prepared to do battle against while assisting your country."

"If you deem the threat of Chinese or Thai offensives into Vietnam high then I understand your concern, but there are absolutely no plans to get either of them involved and we have no plans to start a war. This is a surveillance mission. There are no plans to strike the Argentine forces."

Considering that:

- At no point, both digital communication exchange or during the meeting in Vietnam, it was stated that they were of private, secret or encrypted.

- It is responsability of the host of the meeting to indicate that the encounter is secret/private/encrypte or similar, and this was not done.

- MN rules indicate that "Roleplay Posts must have any one of these statuses — PRIVATE, ENCRYPTED OR SECRET. " and "Roleplay Posts that do not contain any of these statuses are considered PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE. Topic Titles and their descriptions do not count.
The Host is responsible for roleplaying whether their Rooms, and Property are Private. This cannot be achieved by someone else, unless the Property is owned by them.
"

All the exchange of information and talks between the vietnamese and australian representatives were accesable for the public. Argentina would privately take note of this.

China would privatly take note privately of the information available to them, especially considering Australia's and Vietnam's plan to presently invade neutral China.

Linh Mach would shrug, looking at the camera broadcasting in the room to the public.

"Well, we're merely wary of a CIS invasion on Vietnamese soil, what with them bordering us and all. There is no intention of the Republic to invade either country. We merely sit between two powerful Asian countries... like I said, we plan for everything. However, I think Argentina has their hands completely tied with operations in France. To that I simply say, good luck."

She'd smile at the camera, hoping her message got across to the CIS. She'd walk over and deactivate it.

"Come now, Madam Minister. Let us go discuss somewhere in more private?"

She'd guide her to a secret room that was protected against broadcasts and bugs.

The Minister would point to the camera.

"What the fuck is that? WHY ARE YOU BROADCASTING THIS, YOU MORON?"

She would look up to Linh as she went to go discuss somewhere more private.

"Oh, so now we're going somewhere more private? NOW!? Are you.... I literally disclosed operational plans to you. MY ASS IS GETTING FIRED. This meeting is over."

The Minister would leave the Presidential Palace, an Embassy car would be waiting outside to pick her up and would drive her back to the airport where the RAAF Dassault Falcon 7X would be waiting. She would board it and it would take off back for RAAF Base Fairbairn in Canberra. The jet would avoid Thai airspace.
